Comfortable and value for money stay

Good easy accessible location. Stayed 2 nights. Tented accommodation was comfortable and spacious. Very prompt service. Cooperative and courteous staff with lot of common sense in their duties, reception counter in charge was friendly, polite, allowed us early check in. Good food. Package included camel and jeep safari, enjoyed both.

Over rated place. Would never recommend this place for comfortable stay.

Highly over rated camp. Nothing was right including food. Would never recommend to others who wishes their stay must be comfortable.

Nightmarish Experience - Stay Away from This Place

AVOID this place at all costs. Even if you have to sleep in your car, that would be a wiser choice than going to this trash bin. The dirty unhygenic set up is a sham - the pictures on the internet are fake. What awaits you is a downright shady place in the middle of the desert and you are walking into a trap. There are all sorts of shady activities happening in the camp.
We even had to stack things against the door for fear of our lives. Dont know why Make My Trip advertises this as 4 star and pushes customers to take it.

Avoid Sultan resort, poor experience

Overall, a very disappointing experience. Most of the 4- or 5-star reviews appear to be paid or written by the resort’s own staff — even our driver mentioned he was offered ₹200 to post a positive review. I stayed at The Sultan at Sam Dunes recently on Diwali night (20-Oct-2025), in Tent 115. Surprisingly, there were no festive decorations, lighting, or diyas arranged for Diwali, possibly due to religious reasons.
The resort is highly overpriced considering the poor facilities. We paid around ₹7,500 per night (including breakfast and dinner), yet the water supply in the bathroom stopped multiple times during use. The tent had no TV, and the AC was poorly positioned. Both dinner and breakfast offered very limited food options. The Diwali evening cultural program and DJ were also disappointing, with an excessive regional (Gujarat) influence.
Overall, I would strongly suggest choosing another camp or resort. The only positive aspect was that the booking process was smooth — our 50% advance payment was handled transparently, and the car/jeep transfer to the desert with Camel ride (7 mins) was included in the package. Thanks

Worst Experience ever...Don't go here

I visited Sultan resort with my family last week. I had one of the worst experience I must say! First of all, this resort has been marked 4 star but its standard is not even 3 star! Right from cleanliness to the level of service, everything was not up to the mark. The bedcover and pillows were dirty and smelly. The washroom bucket and mug were very unclean. The electric kettle was not clean as well. I had to ask for even some basic services like tea/coffee/sugar pouches as they were not kept in the room. The staff who serviced us looked untidy. The food was very average and breakfast buffet had very limited options. The taste of food was not that great at all. The only thing I liked was the cultural performances in the evening performed by local folk artists. So, a thumbs up for those artists but a big thumbs down to the overall experience in this resort. I will not recommend this to anyone.

Very good location
