Great stay!

We stayed for 5 nights
The room was beautiful and the team were fantastic!
The beach is lovely and although busy at sunset it’s peaceful.
The manger is always around and keen for you to give him feedback, that’s very positive.
Our only real feedback was breakfast.
Although it was lovely, where it was served was not very appealing
We recommended they moved it to the sea facing bar area.
We were there for valentines and had a beautiful set up with a fire and lights on the beach.
It’s a lovely place to stay with so much around you, yoga classes, restaurants, bars.
The team make the place!

Awful worse place I stayed in Goa

Oh my god - how do they get away with this ?
The room was ok but at 150-200 pounds a night it was awful- worth 40-50 max. Position good but they have rammed the rooms in leaving no room for a restaurant /breakfast =bar so you have ton eat in a canteen with mosquitos at the back.
If that is not enough the menu is cornflakes and sweet toast with no marmalade jam nothing and cheap butter.
I travelled so much in my younger years and the breakfast was a bad budget- witout mentioning the no view (as they had built a room in front !
It was a mess the whole experience and I suggest dont bother going- next door fantastic rooms for 40-50 pounds ...
Bad bad experience..
Co to Patnem loads of lovely places to stay with a view while having breakfast and costing a third of the price..

Gem of a place

This place is tucked away in a corner. Secluded beach and very few people. The rooms are clean and quaint. The staff are really nice and helpful. This place is let friendly however this time we didn’t have our pet. The food and service just
Add to the charm. Really recommend this as a week long stay.

Rustic to say the least..

My husband and I stayed here from 20th May until the 30th May. Sadly the monsoons came early and so for most of our trip we had storms.
We arrived at 5am in the morning and had arranged to have a room at additional payment due to not being able to check in until 11am. We settled into the room and were then woken at 2am to say that the room was needed for someone else. This was not something we expected having paid almost £50 for the room.
We were moved to our room ‘PEACE’ which although pretty is incredibly small and the air conditioning was pouring water into the room, whilst the monsoon water came in through our balcony door. We were moved to ‘DESTINY’ for three nights which is allegedly the luxury suite but the views were very limited and the kitchen is directly below the balcony.
We were moved to a beach front room I think was AFFECTION, this had a lovely view but also leaking air conditioning. We wanted to stay in this room but it was booked by someone else so after the 3 days in AFFECTION we were moved back to DESTINY. 5 moves in 10 days.
Our bags were moved for us which is just as well as there are lots of steps and the paths which are all uneven.
The best part of this resort is the food, it is fresh and absolutely gorgeous.
We found halfway through our stay that everything was being packed away as the hotel was closing for the season the day after we left. The restaurant didn’t have half of the ingredients for the food on the menu and no wine available. The beautiful Indian Ocean view from the restaurant was shut off during our holiday and instead a large piece of blue tarpaulin put in its place. This completely blocked any view and encouraged mosquitoes. We were told by the manager that if we wanted the view we could eat in our room. We decided to go and find other places to eat where the view was retained by the use of clear plastic and felt less like being on a camping trip at home.
The staff were clearing out the restaurant, electrics were being covered in plastic and on our last day the grass area into the restaurant was taken up. All in all the restaurant and covered areas looked like a youth hostel not a 5 star hotel.
The entrance to the hotel is absolutely strewn with litter and abandoned cars and was not at all what I expected from a 5 star hotel. The hotel is not easy to find and unless you had someone to show you it would be difficult to find exactly where you are going.
There is no way my husband and I could have taken our luggage to the hotel reception, it is a long winding uphill path that is muddy and uneven.
We booked this hotel because it was quirky and rustic but there is a difference between rustic and run down. None of our balcony doors locked and the rooms looked tired. We didn’t expect marble flooring and walnut beds but this hotel is in my opinion over priced for the accommodation provided.
All in all, we both loved our trip to India but we would not return to this hotel. We really felt that they would much rather we weren’t there so they could pack up and go home.
