There are many things to do in lonavala. You can go to Della's adventure or tiger point or bhaja & Karla caves.
Monsoon brings rapture to the Hills and Lonavala stands proud like a Princess drenched , desirable like a celestial beauty only if you have the eyes for it . Every year I do a road trip to Lonavala during monsoon , spend the evening there , walking through those thick foliage , no man or beast in view ,the birds are quiet but the sounds of silence is enchanting . I stand there at the view point seeing those waterfalls , mesmerised by Nature's creations and the hills come alive like a full drawn Opera . Then I am at the street shop eating hot Batata Wada with thse spicy chutney and my hand envelopsthe hot tea cup to give the warmth against the chilly winds that blow past with rains lashing on the tea shop tin roof . Just a hundred miles away while the city of Mumbai is grinding its wheels , Lonavala is quiet and pristine .One does not leave the place without a bagful of the famous Chikki and home made choclate fudge
This is a day trip out of Mumbai on the way to Pune. Lovely in the summer monsoon season. Can also take a train through the area if you are brave.
peacefull city, good sweets, not very much to see, some cave temples not far away
