Amazing Stay at an affordable price

Had a wonderful stay at Flora Cottage on beautiful Nigeen Lake. Mr. Raj Mohammed was incredibly hospitable, helpful, and made us feel at home throughout our stay. The cottage offers great amenities including teas, refreshments, and everything needed for a comfortable experience.
The room itself was excellent — clean, spacious, with a beautiful lake view and an exceptional washroom. What makes this place special is that the property has only 2 bedrooms, making it much quieter and more peaceful than a typical crowded houseboat. It also feels far more authentic and personal compared to a generic hotel stay.
Affordable, peaceful, and highly recommended for anyone looking for a genuine Kashmir experience.

Best stay in Srinagar

Highly recommended! It’s a quiet and serene place with beautiful views of Nigeen Lake. The rooms are lake-facing with spotless attached washrooms, and the two-bedroom property sits right by the water. The host family is incredibly warm and welcoming they made me feel completely at home.
Raj bhai has been super helpful throughout my stay. He helped me with so many things, made me explore Srinagar like a local, and the food and overall experience were amazing. November was quite cold, but he made sure I was warm, and the rooms were always comfortable and very well maintained. Coziest rooms, warmest hosts

With 2 days in Srinagar, I wanted to stay near a serene lake, and I found the perfect place by the Nigeen lake: Flora Cottage. Raj bhaiya and his family made sure I felt right at home—super clean, cozy room, bed with snugly blankets to keep me warm through the night, hot water through the day, the incredible view of the lake, its golden sunrise and sunsets, Raj bhaiya’s recommendations and help so I could make the most of my time in the city, them calling me to check up on and help me wherever it was needed made me feel less anxious of the city I was visiting as a solo traveller. Thanks to them, I could explore the charming Srinagar like a local—waking up to chai and local bread, travelling comfortably in local buses, Sumo, rickshaws, and eating traditional Kashmiri meals together with them, I’m so grateful for the love I received here and the memories made.
I also learnt from them that the cottage used to be a houseboat passed down by Raj bhaiya’s family, which tragically got burnt down a few years ago along with 6 other houseboats on Nigeen lake. His family is working hard to build everything from the ground up, and just being their guest while you’re in Srinagar will mean the world to them right now.

Cottage in Kashmir

It was a very good experience with Raj Mohammad bhaijan at the flora cottage... The rooms and services were awesome and very much helpful... The location is good and near to dal lake and main roads. I would recommend it to everyone especially with family....
