Good place to stay while visiting Srinagar!

Rooms are clean, they clean it each day! You have cold air when needed and you can also open the window. The staff is nice and kind! It has hot water all the time. Near by there are store, atm.
Breakfast not so rich but the stuff is kind and do their best to serve.

Misleading Listing and Poor Service Experience

Overall, the experience was disappointing.
The staff were rude and unhelpful. The apartment itself was very basic, bathrooms had an unpleasant smell, and the breakfast was average at best.
The suite was falsely advertised with a sofa bed in the listing. When we raised this with the manager, he claimed it was a Booking.com issue and asked us to contact Booking.com instead of resolving it on-site. We explained that even if a sofa bed was unavailable, a basic mattress would have been acceptable, but this was initially denied unless we paid extra.
Only after I started recording the interaction did the manager finally agree to provide a mattress.
As a paying customer who checked in late and had booked a suite for two nights, the overall treatment was poor and unprofessional. This was not the level of service expected based on the listing or the price paid.

Very Bad Experience In Solar Residency

According to me, Solar Residency is a 3-star hotel. They don’t provide new slippers; instead, they give used ones. There are only basic amenities and nothing else. The service is also very slow. The only good thing is that the food is delicious. Even for breakfast, there aren’t many options. The rooms are also very small, and all the furniture is old, outdated, and dirty.
If you want a luxury stay, then book Hotel The Dewan by Royal NaQash. It offers full amenities and is the best hotel in Srinagar so far.

A comfortable stay in Solar Residency Srinagar

House keeping and the food was excellent. The room linen was fresh and clean. Room was airy and well ventilated. There was a problem with supply of centrally heated water in the bathroom. However it was promptly rectified. Will recommend for families transiting through Srinagar.
