Nice homestay

We stayed at Istana Petani Homestay to visit Bromo.
The homestay is simple but clean. They also provide meals. We had dinner, and it was Indonesian food, quite good.
They can also arrange airport pick-up and drop-off for you and organize the Bromo excursion.
They were very friendly and made your life very easy, and the prices are very reasonable.
If you feel like taking a walk around, the views are spectacular.

Need better cleanliness...

This is a beautiful looking home-stay but the bathrooms were unclean with so many flies and critters that it was impossible to use it. the rooms were damp, lighting was bad and nearby road was noisy. You only spend 5-6hrs here on the way to Bromo, so not much of a hassle but the staff can definitely put in more effort to up keep the place.

Basic but Comfortable

Stayed here for 2 nights. We came as a group of 16.the lower level house was good. It is enough for a rest for/after Bromo. Only problem i had in room/house no 1 was...the shower malfunction. So we had to improvise ourself for bathing. Lolzzz...
Wifi is decent sometimes...but dun rely on it as i have data.
Food was good. Hospitality was good.
