Carrick Gate Lodge

Enjoyed 3 nights ar Carrick Gate Lodge and look forward to going back again. Located in the village of Carrick, convenient to restaurants, Pubs etc. Good base for touring the area. Accommodation had all we needed, modern and spotlessly clean. Very nice continental breakfast, fresh produce. Tea, coffee making facilities available.

Beautiful accommodation, relaxing, clean and in a wonderful location.

This accommodation is absolutely beautiful and in an amazing location. It is beautifully decorated, in a building with lovely character. The pictures dont do it justice.
The rooms are lovely, beds are so comfortable with good quality bedding. Its so peaceful and quiet with beautiful views of the river.
The staff are really friendly, always making sure we were happy and had everything we needed. Lucy looked after us at breakfast and always found time for a chat.
Met Frances the owner and she is lovely. Told us all the places to visit while we were there. It is a real friendly, family run place.
It is spotlessly clean with everything you could need for your stay.
Breakfast was great, really good selection and served in a lovely bright dining room with plenty space for everyone.
There is a lovely atmosphere and it was really relaxing.
The scenery in the area is stunning and the people are so friendly and welcoming.
There are a couple of wee pubs in the village and plenty placed to eat out in the area.
It was our first time in Donegal but it wont be the last. It is amazing!
Thanks to everyone for a really lovely stay.

A fully refurbished B and B in the centre of this small village.

A fully refurbished B and B in the centre of this small village. liked the self check in ,instructions easy to follow. There was a well stocked kitchen with tea and coffee . The continental breakfast was nicely set out with staff on hand if needed . Plenty of choice to suit everyone.
different style of B and B but would recommend

Quality accommodation in this special part of Donegal

Carrick Gate is a great addition to the local area. As a local living in Liverpool, we recently stayed at Carrick Gate for 3 nights during the unfortunate circumstances of my mothers funeral. However the location and facilities on offer at this recently renovated guest house made our stay an enjoyable one. From the original entrance doorway to the finishes within the whole building, the house ouse’s quality. The bedrooms and dining areas are of very high standard with excellent views of Carrick bridge and the Glen River. Jessica and her staff will ensure your stay is a relaxed and enjoyable one. For the non-local I would recommend an early morning stroll along the Carrick River Walk, which leads you to the Salmon Leap viewing point where you can sit and enjoy the views of Teelin Bay and Sliabh Liag, with your preferred beverage from the excellent “Brew n Thru” coffee vintage van. Or for the more active visitor, Seamus from “Ireland By Bike” which is located across the bridge from Carrick Gate will provide, plan and advise you on the best cycling routes around this special corner of Donegal!
