Unreliable / potential scam

Cancelled on us at 11pm the night before our stay via WhatsApp. I didn’t get a notification until 11am on the day we were travelling up. Again, the excuse was an electrical issue. An alternative accommodation was offered but no location or details provided so I asked for a refund. The refund was meant to be instant however it has been 8 days and am still waiting on it. The property still has not initiated the refund on their end. Unacceptable.

Avoid

The owner/manager wats appd us at 4pm on the day we were due to stay and cancelled our stay stating there was electrical problems in the property. He refused to take a phonecall. He said he could not offer any alternative accomodation but would ensure we got a refund. When we checked on booking.com for alternative accomodation another appartment came up in the same building but he stated this was gone. He gave no real apology for the last minute cancellation and kept insisting we would get a refund in 2 minutes. But it takes 7 to 10 days.

Avoid at all costs

Accomodation cancelled on us last minute left us completely stranded. Had friends who had travelled from Mayo so needed somewhere to stay. Was giving excuse of electrical issue. Crazy and not acceptable
