Wish we could have stayed longer
The whole experience was perfect, highly recommended. The view from the lodge was stunning, we spent one evening watching the sun setting for about two hours cosy on the balcony. There was plenty of car parking and the road was very quiet, especially at night. There are lots of leaflets for local extractions and services, we used a recommended taxi service. The breakfast was devious, the service was very welcoming and friendly, thank you to the lady (can’t remember her name) she was wonderful. Thank you again for the lovely accommodation, I just wish we could have stayed longer.

Clean and well maintained but small room.
A well maintained property and friendly welcome but very restricted small room. There was hardly any room to move around the bed and I referred to the en suite as the “wee room”. It would seem the facilities had been put into a cupboard. The distance between the front of the toilet bowl and the shower door was the width of the not overlarge wash basin. A shelf over the basin also made in difficult to lean across to use the wash basin.
A continental breakfast was part of the price and made available from 07:30 . A reasonable selection and fresh.
Parking became an issue on the second night and my car had to be left on the street which has restrictions although these did not affect us due to timing but parking charges could apply.
5 minute walk into town with lots of restaurants and a similar distance to the start of the foreshore but to get to Salthill restaurants is quiet a walk.
Would not stay again.

Absolutely loved this place
The breakfast was wonderful. The owner even helped by vacuuming so we could get in a little earlier as we were pretty jet lagged after the flight. It was in a quite place in Galway, away from the hustle and bustle. Galway Bay was across the street. It also was a wonderful spring board for rosaveal harbor and the aron island.

Really Nice
The Atlantic Lodge is outside of the city of Galway, but is in a lovely area of the Salthills with restaurants and seafront. The room was huge, clean, and looked very new. The noise was quiet in and around the B&B. The host was available by phone and very accommodating. If in the area, the Atlantic Lodge is a great value and I would definitely recommend it.

Never pay this lady in cash!
This turned out to be utterly weird: I paid cash upon arrival and asked for a receipt. She took my cash and said she would get the receipt in a moment. But she did not return that day. Next day at breakfast I asked again. No problem, she would take care of it. Not. I asked several times during the next days and started to worry as this was becoming really akward.
At our last day at Atlantic Lodge I insisted she would give me a receipt, she said she would take care of it right away. This time I decided to wait outside her room and after at least an hour of waiting my girlfriend could take it no more and entered her room. She was doing her email...! How incredibly rude. I entered her room and she finally typed out a receipt albeit with no signature. This very strange behaviour spoiled our stay at an otherwise very nice location.
