Keep what you promise
The BnB is very good, well located in the historic centre and with parking nearby. The room is very good, spacious and clean, with terrace and view. The bathroom is great. The only problem is that our room was right in the breakfast room, so we woke up as soon as the first guests arrived for the coffee. Other than that, everything was great.
Bene, who takes care of the BnB, is very friendly and attentive, always available, and gave us good indications.

Agrigento is not only the Valley of the Temples
I had already been to Agrigento two other times and mistakenly thought it was "just" the mythical Valley of the Temples and Pirandello's birthplace. Instead I pleasantly discovered that Agrigento is much more. Nestled in the middle of all this is the B and B Sant' Alfonso, ten meters from the particular Church of Santa Maria dei Greci (rising above an ancient Greek temple clearly visible under the floor with large windows) and 50-100 meters from the Churches of Sant' Alfonso, the Cathedral, the Diocesan Museum and the Lucca Library. At 200 meters and in the opposite direction here is the Church of San Giuseppe so dear to the Judge and Martyr Rosario Livatino to whom a beautiful Museum in the Sacristy is dedicated. Very pleasant stay, the view from the terraces and balconies of the structure is unforgettable. The efforts of the climbs of the old town are amply rewarded by the night view of the Valley of the Temples and Porto Empedocle and, in the opposite direction, the nearby Duomo. Ancient structure but expertly restored, equipped with every comfort and furnished with style and lots of taste. Benny was a friendly, discreet and helpful host. The Suite "Belvedere" where I was staying very spacious and well air-conditioned, finely furnished and with a superb view. A stone's throw from Via Atenea, the main street of the city with dozens of restaurants, pizzerias, very interesting bars and charming shops. Absolutely recommended this B and B.

Very pleasant stay
Excellent conservative restoration of an old building in the historic center of Agrigento, a few steps from the Duomo.
Our Hermes room was spacious and comfortable, very well kept with great attention to detail and a small balcony overlooking the rooftops and the sea in the distance; the bathroom (with window) is large and modern with a comfortable shower.
Thanks to Benny, the reception manager who, with great kindness and helpfulness, carried our luggage along an infinite number of stairs to the B&B.
Breakfast could be improved: a "homemade" yogurt and a croissant. By now, almost at the end of our trip to Sicily, we unfortunately missed the flavors to which we had become somewhat accustomed (and which cost us a few extra kilos in just a few days!).
The structure can only be reached on foot, the owner will show you where to park but we had considerable difficulty finding a free space and, possibly, not a prohibited parking space.
To be recommended.

A really disappointing and frustrating stay
I stayed at the BnB Sant'Alfonso for one night in October 2023.
When booking the BnB I confirmed my expected time of arrival. On arriving at the agreed time I was advised by the receptionist/assistant that I couldn’t have the key to my room and couldn’t currently use my room because the manager had the keys and was not available. I was advised by the receptionist/assistant that the manager would be back in 20 minutes so please could I wait. Shortly after I discovered that the receptionist/assistant had told a group of other guests exactly the same thing and they had already been waiting over an hour. Eventually after waiting 1.5 hours the receptionist/assistant appeared with the keys and let me into my room.
There was no apology in person by the manager who I never saw during my stay. He did send me an email offering the following night free but this was of no use seeing as I already had accommodation somewhere else in another part of Sicily booked and paid for.
I understand that mistakes can happen but what was so frustrating was that receptionist/assistant was making things up rather than being honest and wouldn’t answer a straight question and the manager didn’t even have the manners to apologise in person and offer some useful compensation. Really poor customer service.
There were other problems during my stay:
There was a mini bar in my room but no cups/glasses to drink from and no bottle opener
The bedside lamp in my room didn’t work
The AC in my room didn’t work or if it did there was no one available to explain how to work it
There was no one around to fix the bedside lamp
Overall a really disappointing stay

B&b Sant'Alfonso
Excellent B&B above the center of Agrigento. The room was comfortable, clean, well furnished; the bathroom is large and modern.
The staff was super friendly, both upon arrival and during breakfast, with personal service at the table. The only flaw: the stairs to get there, but the price and conditions of the rooms justify the effort!
