Premium stay. New and clean. Comfortable bed.

The bed was comfortable!! Everything super clean. The host's service very very good, everything very well explained and easy to follow. All renovated, and even a very top TV!
In the kitchen they offer breakfast with yogurts, coffee, cereal, toast with nocilla/butter and lots of pastries.
I think I only see 3 small, but for me important, improvement opportunities to be a really excellent site.
The bathroom had no hairdryer. I didn't ask for it either, but I think it's a basic that must have every room.
At breakfast there was no oil, lots of pastries and little really healthy.
The price is quite expensive for the city and the area, so I also recommend that you consider these small details.

A perfect accommodation for a few days in Genoa

A fantastic stay. It's right in the Old Port of Genoa, with a wonderful view and close to everything. The road is very busy but the windows close so tightly that you can't hear anything outside. The decor is beautiful between old and modern. Very clean, airy, practical, beautiful and safe. It has an elevator.
I recommend this local accommodation because it has a good price/quality ratio and Francesca explains, helps and assists with everything. Cleaning is daily. The bathroom has everything: shampoo, gel, white towels and even cotton to remove makeup - fabulous.
It rained in the meantime and the house even had umbrellas to lend.
Breakfast is enough because I hate eating too much and gaining weight.

Stay in Genoa

Staying at Port View was very comfortable, a short distance from the tourist attractions and the historic center. Every day the room (very beautiful and welcoming) is cleaned and tidied up and the owner, Mrs Francesca, is a young and very kind person.
I recommend you go to port view and you won't regret it.

EXCELLENT CHOICE OF ACCOMMODATION

We’ve just returned from an amazing week in Genoa and Port View was an excellent choice of accommodation. We received very clear entry instructions the day before arrival and we were able to arrange an early check-in. We were warmly welcomed by Francesca, who provided us with lots of information on places to visit and recommendations for restaurants. The apartment, on the 4th floor, was extremely comfortable and spacious and was kept spotlessly clean and tidy by Shabina. The communal dining/kitchen area had a plentiful supply of hot/cold drinks and breakfast items. There are great views of the port and, although the building is adjacent to a very busy road, noise is not an issue as there is very good double-glazing and air-conditioning.
The location is ideal as it is very close to Darsena Metro station, which is a 10 minute journey to Genova Brignole from where it is possible to catch trains to Cinque Terre and Portofino and buses to Boccadasse and Nervi.
We would definitely stay at Port View again should we return to Genoa in the future. Thank you.

Good location

Situated on the 4th floor of a building overlooking the elevated main road (Aldo Moro) and the busy Antonio Gramsci, the B&B's lift starts only up a flight of stairs from the front door. Remarkable security with codes and keys, which left us standing on the pavement and in the next door cafê for rather a long time while help was summoned. There are no staff on site. Once in, the good location between the Royal Palace and the Maritime Museum became apparent. Very comfortable room as long as you keep the window shut. Copious quantity of breakfast-style food available and possibility to warm things in the kitchen.
