Very bad
I do not recommend this hostel.
Immediately after I booked, they sent a message demanding an extra €25 just to check in at 22:00, and stated the fee would jump to €50 after 23:30.
When I cancelled the booking because of these unreasonable extra costs, they still charged me a €20.80 cancellation fee.

Please please please stay away!!
We had booked a private room for four, and were given a room on the top floor. As soon as we stepped inside we could tell it was extremely hot, but closed the shutters, turned on the fans and hoped for the best. But lo! One of the ceiling fans was broken, and the other did nothing but pump hot air. The webpage advertised air conditioning, but upon enquiry we were told this wasn’t the case. I asked the desk attendant for another fan since one was broken, and despite promising to look for one, when I returned two hours later it was clear he hadn’t done so. After prompting from me, he did produce another fan, which unfortunately was completely useless in bringing the temperature down.
At this point the room was hotter than the outside temperature, which was 36 degrees. The room (or should I say hell simulator?) consistently remained warmer than outside temperatures – and we were staying in August! We were forced to soak the bed sheets in cold water in order to get any sleep in this unbearable heat. Alas! There was clearly something very wrong with said water, as it left brown stains on everything it touched and produced a truly foul smell.
To add insult to injury, the shower head was clogged, the grout filthy, the mirror smeared with some suspicious and frightening substance, and the taps dirty. The bunk bed was also the ricketiest thing I’ve ever encountered. Rolling over in bed produced earthquake-level shaking, making it near-impossible to get any sleep.
If you want to have a pleasant (or just not horrendous) stay in Milan, AVOID THIS HELLHOLE AT ALL COSTS. Can you believe that we actually PAID for this ordeal, and significantly more than the hostel originally advertised???!?! I wouldn’t return even if they paid me the €140! We genuinely felt we have escaped a near-death experience when we checked out. For the rest of my life I will thank whatever gods may be every day that I wake up NOT in Hostel Colours Milan.

Feeling abandoned, didn't make a good impression
From the atmosphere he seems a bit left to himself.
I booked a place in the dormitory with external shared bathroom which was in horrible and incomplete condition.
I don't know if I booked into the dorm with a private bathroom if things would get any better.
