The hotel used misleading pricing, charged more than promised

Terrible and misleading pricing practices. I was clearly told that adding my daughter would cost €20, but at payment the price was much higher. On top of that, the original price for two people was cheaper than what I was charged later. This feels like a bait-and-switch. Avoid if you don’t want to be overcharged.

A 4 star hotel but that in reality are 2!

We stayed at this hotel in Modena for 3 days, when I booked it seemed really nice, then I thought “well a 4 star will definitely be good”, unfortunately a disappointment.
The photos on the various sites that there are to present the hotel unfortunately do not reflect reality. Dated rooms, noisy, poor cleaning.
Empty and cold environment.
Courtesy kit for guests that leaves just to be desired, indeed I would say non-existent .. which there should be in a 4 star hotel and where you also pay abundantly to stay.
Possibility to use only breakfast because it does not have a restaurant.
Poor bar.
Cleanliness of the bathroom, room and structure reduced to a minimum, the stairs perhaps have not been cleaned in weeks.
Poor breakfast service, food and drinks were not replaced immediately and even the minimum choice.
We were very disappointed, especially because the photos allude to a real 4 star but in reality it is from 2, no more.
Definitely not going back.
Not suitable for families with small children.

Some intervention would be necessary

Hotel located away from the center with ample free parking. Four-star lobbies, three-star rooms, bathrooms like 70s guesthouses. The staff at the desk is friendly and helpful. Breakfast good for various you qualities. I would not return anyway except out of necessity.

Fleas in bathroom and noisy nights.

Overall, it wasn't too bad. But on reflection, it could have been a lot better. We booked for 7 nights but only stayed 6. The bathroom was clean and tidy but on a closer look, the floor was littered with tiny black flies, and even after washing the floor, within half an hour, dozens were back again. There was never any in the room, only the bathroom. We also overlooked the 'ladies of the night' working from the garage forecourt that our room looked out onto, after all, I doubt they were on the hotel payroll!
And why did we only stay for 6.... Well, on our last night, we thought we'd have an early night as we'd have to be up at 4.30 for our early morning flight. We tried to sleep from 9 pm and after trying for over 2 hours we gave up. The noise on our landing was terrible. Every other day was absolutely fine but this night was ridiculous. Loud screaming and drunken laughter, slamming doors, over and over again. We divided to check out. We explained to the man at reception that we wanted to check out early due to the noise and behaviour on our landing. His response was nonchalant and dismissive, just telling us we needed to pay the tourist tax before leaving. So we did, we left and got a better sleep in the airport lounge!

Practical and comfortable

Very comfortable hotel, ample free parking, friendly staff and clean rooms, not very modern structure, abundant breakfast and a wide choice, nom do 4 bullets because in my room the hairdryer was not much and the shower did not close well
