Our stay at Birba

Birba is a little way out of the Roma central district, its within in an apartment block in suburbia really. Franco is the host, he is very charming and helpful. Room was spacious as was the bathroom, bed comfortable, there is a central kitchen where you have breakfast, cereal and pastries with a coffee machine. You can cook if you wish. We stayed 5 nights so by the end we had and hang of getting into Roma, either by walking to Jonio Metro station, 20 min, or taking the 388 bus which stops near to Jonio Station. There is a good supermarket 500 meters away, and just a bit further and through a small park there is the Care Cafe which we enjoyed (twice) All in all we enjoyed the experience and would stay here again when back in Rome.

Excellent!

Even though it is a bit far from the city center, our experience was great! We took mostly Uber for transportation and had no problems getting around. The place is spotlessly clean. Franco, the director, is super friendly and helpful. He allowed us to get into our room earlier than we had booked for and was very attentive in every way. Would definitely book again!

Easter holiday in Rome

I was with my boyfriend in a short Easter holiday in Rome. We stayed at B&B Birba. Franco's apartment is very nice, I felt like home. Franco is a friendly and kind man. The apartment is located a bit far from the city center. The nearest metro station is Jonio, about 15-20 minutes away.

Amazing BnB like a 4Star hotel!

Franco was very responsive to my messages online and via text message. He gave us important information and met us upon arrival. It was hard to figure out the location of his apartment in the evening, so I would advise trying to get there in the daylight. The neighborhood, although out of the way from the busy city was quiet and felt safe. There is a pizza place right now the road to grab a bite that is super cheap!
Franco's place was truly relaxing. Great AC, comfy bed, and clean shower/kitchen and everything. We were able to do a load of laundry. Franco provided everything we need and more. It is like a 4 Star hotel. The metro is an easy 15 minute walk and the bus stop is at the end of his street! You must be willing to walk and take the metro in order to make this listing work. It was like a hotel for way less money! There is even a balcony to smoke off of if you are a smoker.
Franco isn't fluent in English but had a fun time talking and having a conversation with him. He is very easy-going and silly! He made us laugh a lot!

Amazing stay. Reasonable price in a very clean and homely place. Franco is a host par excellence! Commute to the city center is easy once you get the hang of getting on and off the bus and the metro. To a wonderful wonderful host, thank you! Cris F. and Tessie C, Dallas, TX and Vallejo, CA.
