Comfortable stay, great staff, convenient location
The hotel is conveniently located near Roma Termini Station - though it’s a bit of a walk. The surrounding area can feel slightly unsettling at night due to groups of homeless migrants nearby, but this is outside the hotel’s control. There are plenty of restaurants close by, which makes things easy to grab dinner if you aren’t in the centre of town.
Despite some reviews saying it’s hard to find, we had no issues at all - it’s directly opposite the main bus station, and the large flags with the hotel’s name make it very noticeable. The added security gates and evening doorbell system also gave a sense of safety, which we appreciated.
Our room was spacious, spotless, and included a minibar. Although the beds didn’t look particularly comfortable at first, they turned out to be great, and we slept very well. Street noise is quite noticeable if the windows are open, but once closed, the room is impressively quiet. The Juliet balcony was a nice touch for a bit of people watching.
There is also a rooftop terrace with plenty of seating, which was a great spot to relax with drinks from a nearby supermarket and enjoy the sunshine.
Breakfast was a standard continental spread - pastries, cheese, ham, etc - with a good selection, though no hot options. The breakfast area is on the smaller side but still comfortable enough to eat without feeling crowded. Given the age and character of the building, it felt perfectly adequate.
This is a comfortable and well run hotel that works well as a base for exploring the city, with attentive staff who make you feel welcome.
