Small, Homely, Social Hostel Tucked Away in the Heart of Hiroshima

Lovely small and friendly hostel in a very good location within Hiroshima. Easy to get to from Hiroshima main station (just get off at Shin-Hakushima station and take a short walk). Mako (the owner) is very welcoming and even offered a free welcome drink! She gave great advice on where to eat as well, letting us know about a great breakfast place as well as a really good place to try okonomiyaki (a must in Hiroshima). It was very easy to meet other travellers as well.
The hostel is clean, quiet and the facilities are really good. It is also well located to see the Hiroshima Peace Park (about 10-15 minutes walk) and Miyajima Island (just take the train from Shin-Hakushima station to Miyajimaguchi station and take the ferry from there). Overall this is definitely one of the best hostel stays I've had!

Amazing location, Beautiful Guest House

We had an amazing stay at Roku this weekend. Small beautiful and very safe. Great people who work there, free welcome drink and the Hiroshima Memorial free walking tour was so heartwarming. They do a very very good job in Roku! Thank you

Very Welcoming Place

Great location right off the JR line and the staff are so helpful and welcoming. Breakfast is a good deal for 400 yen. Spent our last night visiting with locals and watching the baseball game was awesome. The local team was in the championships and i've never seen Japanese show so much emotion.

Cosy and welcoming

A friend and I stayed for one night to allow a full day in Hiroshima city. Staff were very welcoming and were keen to give us recommendations for food and things to do.
Bunk beds very comfortable and lockers provided at the end of the beds. All clean.
5-10mins tube from Hiroshima station and a 5min max walk from nearest subway station to hostel. Very easy.
From the hostel it is walkable into Hiroshima to the peace park (15/20mins only).

Perfect place!

I can`t stress enough how wonderful the staff members are!! During my stay (four nights) all of the staff were warmhearted, welcoming and totally lovely! Thank you Misaki, Mai, Marie and Banchan!
In the Hostel bar you can easily meet people from the neighbourhood and other hostel guests. There`s also a common area only for hostel guests, with a kitchen and fridge. The shower is really spacious, you can use shampoo, conditioner, body soap for free. The design of the sinks is very cute and there`s even more free stuff next to them. The bed is comofortable and you have enough space to put away your backpack.
Shin-Hakushima JR station is only 3min away, and by walking (25min) you can reach the Peace Memorial Museum and Park, the Hiroshima castle (15min). You will get a self-drawn map so you can discover the area around Roku, don`t miss out on those places! I just loved my stay here, I am definitely going to come again!
