Peaceful and charming , the perfect break

This is a very nicely renovated very old house full of character and charm. It sits high in the middle of the valley with wonderful views and aspect. In the tradition of B&Bs you share the place with Rae and Jiro ( the owners) and other guests ( just a few as this is not a big place) . Nice home cook meals , friendly owners , peaceful and charming. Could not ask for more to break after a good day of walking

Fabulous stay in Nagiso

Fabulous place to stay for our family of five, a beautiful respite after walking the local trail. Amazing food and service. Lovely hot showers and a beautifully renovated farmhouse to stay in. Highly recommend!

Beautiful

Japan at its best. This is a place where culture, tradition, exceptional hospitality, and breathtaking nature beautifully converge.
Have your coffee in the morning sitting outside, look at the mountains and just listen; you might find Buddha.

Cosy mountain lodge in a beautiful location!

Prior to coming here, I was not optimistic about our stay in a “hostel”… however, the name is probably misleading to foreign travellers as this felt like the cosiest mountain lodge ever in such a gorgeous area, and much nicer than many (mid-range) ryokans and minshukus we stayed at during our trip. The owner was so sweet and made us feel at home immediately with touches like the hot coals for our feet at night (it got really cold at night here), comfy armchairs by the fire, lots of snacks and barley tea (which is amazing, by the way)… and the home cooked food was delicious! We even got picked up on the hiking route and driven to the hostel free of charge. Do yourself a favour and book here- you won’t regret it!

WONDERFUL

Perfectly renovated, comfortable, rustic, authentic 19th century inn, immersed in a mountain landscape in a perfect position from which you can enjoy a wonderful view. The staff is exceptional, attentive to our every curiosity and need for information on itineraries to follow in the woods.
It was absolutely the best accommodation I booked in Japan and I regret having only stayed there for one night..... It is highly recommended to those who are lucky enough to arrive in these areas to recover from the chaos of the cities.... .. WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE ❤️
