still the crown jewel of Fufu group

This is our second stay at Fufu Nikko. Having now been to 6 different Fufu hotels around the country, we are happy to report that Fufu Nikko is still the best of them all. The good hospitality and service remained the same, and we were super glad to see the Sri Lankan waitress from last time, was still working at the hotel. Everything was well kept and F&B remained as good as ever, and we particularly loved the teppanyaki dinner here. Would highly recommend anyone reading this to make a detour to Nikko to spend at least 2-3 nights here.

Gorgeous hotel

We loved the FUFU Nikko! It is in a beautiful setting and the rooms are large and very well appointed. We had the least expensive room and it was huge by any standard. The service was impeccable and unbelievably attentive. If you asked for anything you got it in 30 seconds. The dinners were outstanding and beautifully presented. We stayed for 3 nights and were sorry to leave.

Certainly a great experience

Fufu Nikko is well located, next to the Imperial Villa once frequented by the Emperor Taisho and Empress Teimei.
It has a quiet and luxurious atmosphere.
The exterior of the buildings are minimalist but rooms are luxurious in an old fashioned way - the lighting and furniture remind one of the Taisho period.
Indoor onsen bath very good, especially when it is very cold outside.
Beds are comfortable and housekeeping is discreet and efficient.
The Kaiseki Chef is excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed all the breakfasts and dinners. We also had the chance to meet the General Manager, a real gentleman.
If you enjoy a quaint atmosphere and wish for a private space in Nikko with onsen, this should not disappoint.

Wonderful

Beautiful boutique style property, staff are amazing, food is very special and the onsen is lovely.
We had a comfort suite which was huge and extremely comfortable.
Just a work from the temple area so very convenient.
Beautiful setting.
Can't fault anything, a really lovely experience.
