a peaceful place

Great place to spend 2 or 3 days, based at the top of Nikko in a neighborhood that reminds you of a Ghibli anime... Close to nature, to the river, you sleep on tatami mats... Do not hesitate to go see the path of the Buddhas just above

Sensible option if your visiting the Nikko temple complex

A simple local inn with some nice traditional touches. Some sensible restaurant options nearby. Definitely a good option if you're staying in Nikko.

Super charming little hotel near the river surrounded by lush trees and mountains. It’s an older place but it adds to the charm. The room was clean and the area is super walkable to all main attractions. And close to the bus stop for the attractions further away.

Great place for the price. Onsen was lovely and staff was super friendly. Breakfast seemed expensive so we didn't eat there. Room cleaned thoroughly.
