Overall, I had a good experience at the hotel. The staff were friendly, and the services were good. The only suggestion I have is regarding the air conditioning in the hallways leading to the rooms. They can get very hot, so it would be much more comfortable if those areas were air-conditioned as well. Other than that, everything was great, and I enjoyed my stay.

Room are not as described on booking sites they’re old and dirty, no amenities like slippers or toothpaste and toothbrush the only benefit is the hotel located in heart of Hamra street and for short few hours rest before going to airport anything else is only the shower nice hot water with clean towels …

The room was reasonably clean, but it could definitely have been better. The curtains weren’t practical at all. Unlike the usual setup, you have to open all of them just to get out onto the balcony. They’re not really curtains—I don’t even know what to call them—but they just weren’t good.

A nice stay in Hamra

A hotel dating back to the late 1960's, it's located in the strategic Hamra street. The staff were extremely courteous and friendly from the reception to the restaurant to housekeeping. Free tea and coffee and kettle in the room and a big bottle of mineral water replenished daily. The air conditioner was great and so was the shower flow. My room was spacious and had a safe. Wifi was strong.
However, the bathtub clogged every time I took a shower and needs renovation. Breakfast was also limited.
All in all a good stay and will definitely stay here again.

Hotel Cavalier is a clean & efficient hotel. The rooms are spacious, the balconies lovely to have, the bathrooms have all the necessary amenities, the beds are quite comfortable & the air conditioning very welcome with Beirut’s humidity. The staff at the front desk were very helpful & friendly. If you need a solid hotel room centrally located you can’t go wrong here.
Any down sides? The breakfast buffet wasn’t regularly served (too few guests at this time); there was no cable TV, fitness room or pool (for those who want them).
In my particular room one of the dresser drawers was broken & the safe didn’t work. My room smelled like cigarette smoke despite its being nonsmoking. These issues aside, I would stay here again for the price, cleanliness, comfort, & location.
