Superb hotel

We made a reservation via booking.com. The hotel owner was very friendly when we arived and we felt immediatly at home. This didn't change during our stay. We had a few bad experiences during our stay in Luxembourg, but when we came back to the hotel she managed to cheer us both up with her kindness.
The hotel itself is clean and tidy. Also breakfast is available, very tastful.
The location of the hotel is great for all sort of activities. If you want to go for a hike or just sightseeing it's a perfect starting point.

Friendly, comfortable family-run hotel

We very much enjoyed our stay here. We came with three generations and the wonderful woman running the hotel was very helpful in keeping everyone happy. Grandmother rated this hotel the very best in the Ardennes. We could sit out frong and watch the lovely Larochette square and castle ruins above. A delightful get-away. You should note there's no elevator, but we had no trouble negotiating the broad staircase.

Another nice stay at the Hotel de la Poste

Another enjoyable stay with Maria, excellent room & a great breakfast with plenty of choice. As usual Maria was very helpful & recommended us a good place to eat in the evening, this was our 5th or 6th stay & we will be back.

Delightful

The host was very welcoming and recommended local restaurants. The room was of a reasonable size with a large bathroom (a bit dated) but very clean and the breakfast was very good.
The hotel is located very conveniently to visit Luxembourg City (amazing walk around the city walls), Vianden castle (must see!!), Echternact (ok) and if you re interested in modern European history do go visit Schengen. We also enjoyed a walk up to the castle in the town which was a 15 min walk.

Perfect 2 day stop off

The hotel is perhaps a little tired and in need of updating but dont let that put you off.
The owner is really friendly and cant do enough for you, the rooms were very clean and well kept. We had a room at the from with a view of the Castle - perfect and a massive room.
Plentiful typical local breakfast.
The castle is worth a visit.
The local restaurants are just across the square.
Visit Echternach for walking as well as Larochette.
Perfect stop off for 2 nights.
