From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted. To all non-Malaysian residents that booking Family Escapade at The Magellan (Residence of Malaysia Only) rate will be subject to a penalty surcharge of RM 250.00 nett per room per night (stay period: now till 30 September 2024) and RM 255.00 nett per room per night (stay period: 1 October 2024 till 31 March 2025). Upon check-in, guests will be required to present their Malaysia Resident ID/PR to confirm their rate entitlement.
