A Hidden Gem - Super Clean, Central and Family-Friendly!

We had a great experience at this B&B. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The central location made it easy to get around, and everything we needed was close by. One of the best features for us was the in-room kitchenette – it was perfect for preparing bottles and small meals for my 4-month-old baby. It really made our stay more convenient. Highly recommend for anyone traveling with a little one or just looking for a clean, well-located place to stay!

Excellent accommodation to enjoy Rabat and Mdina comfortably

We loved the place my partner and I. Spacious, comfortable, cozy, nice, nice, with a fantastic terrace with stunning views of Howard's Garden and Mdina. Everything worked perfectly and the team was super attentive and friendly. We've felt right at home, literally. If we return to Rabat we will definitely try to stay here again. Excellent

Terrible experience

I booked a room at Maleth Inn for one night as my flight was due in late evening and I did not want to inconvenience family with my late arrival. The price charged was low so I knew not to expect a superb room. I did, however, expect clean sheets and a clean room. I let myself into the room at midnight to find the room had not been made up since the last occupier. Unmade bed, messy bathroom. I tried to call the manager's number to no avail. After some .minutes she called me and when I told her the room was not cleaned she said "sorry, I'll refund you the money". When I asked her what she thought I should do at midnight she suggested I find somewhere else to stay. An awful manager, avoid this place if you can.

A few steps from Mdina

Perfect location a stone's throw from Mdina and bus stops. Room equipped with a kitchenette. Comfortable bedding, impeccable cleanliness.

A bit disappointing

After reading only good reviews we were surprised about the many problems we ran into here.
Admittedly not everything could be helped, but some were to do with bad maintenance.
We had a leaking washbasin outlet, which made the bathroom floor wet. This was repaired after 2 days.
Later, when it started raining it also rained in the bathroom, so again a wet floor (buckets didn't catch it all) and it made the place feel damp.
The sofa/bed was very uncomfortable as a sofa, mainly because it was busted with some wood sticking in your back in one place. One evening we woke up with a shock because of the fire alarm. A guest was cooking and set it off. He was struggling to turn it off after he got instructions through WhatsApp from the owner. Other guests all came out if the rooms not knowing what to do. Not the owners fault of course, but the owner was never on the premises, so when there are problems, you have to WhatsApp the owner for answers. Sometimes the water pressure was so low that we hardly had any water. The owner told us to turn the electric of and back on to make the water pump work.
On the upside, the bed and pillows were very comfortable. We had a great roof terrace with a nice view. The television had many international channels. The cleaner is very friendly. The location is good, but Rabat is small, so most places are central and near Mdina.

Thank you for choosing us as the base for your stay in Rabat. Whilst you enjoyed the location and the comfortable beds, we are sorry to hear that your experience was overall less positive than anticipated, mainly due to maintenance issues as you so rightly pointed out. Unfortunately you did get to experience too many problems at once, as it so happens, not to mention that during your stay we happened to get the first major rainfall of the season, hence the sudden unexpected leaks (which could not be fixed until the roof dried up again). Nevertheless we appreciate your feedback and have stepped up our regular maintenance to try to keep such issues to a minimum as much as possible. We have also replaced the sofa bed with a new one, as part of our regular upgrades. We extend our heartfelt apologies for not providing you with a top-notch stay, and we are positive we can offer a much better experience next time round, should you choose to stay with us again!
