We had a great stay at Mapache. The private room was spacious and clean. The staff were lovely and helpful. We also loved the daily activities and the small breakfast included was a bonus. Would recommend Mapache to anyone staying on Holbox. I've only just found out the Mapache means racoon though!

Very good

My stay was great they let me store my things as my bus left in the afternoon I would come back again without thinking
Super recommended and the location is excellent you can get from the pier
Also the cleanliness is very good
It is only advisable to carry cash as there are sometimes problems with the machine

Great hostel to stay in on Holbox island

Mapache Hostel was great for our stay. The staff was very friendly and always offered their help if something was needed!
We also spent one day with Mentsa, one of the receptionists and had a great time with her.
The area outside was perfect to hangout, eat and enjoy the place with the other traveller. There were hammocks to chill and even tables with power outlets, which were very practical.

Best hostel with best location, close to the beach and with wonderful people

I loved the hostel and the environment, I stayed in a beautiful and well-kept tipi... What drew my attention to staying at this Hostel, besides the included breakfast, was also the daily activities that are often paid for in excursions. The volunteers are very kind, I loved meeting Sandy who was very sweet and made great breakfasts... And always very concerned. Everything was always clean and I loved it from the bottom of my heart.

Peacefull place to relax

Lovely Hostel located on a quiet street with a 10 minute walk from the port and 5 from the beach, like everything else all the restaurants, shops etc. are also not far away. The staff was very friendly, everything was clean and the bads are very comfy. The breakfast is switching and was also good.
You can relax in the garden and have a beer which they are also selling for 35 pesos.
