A very Relaxing and Satisfying Stay inside the Medina in Marrakech

We stayed for six nights. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The riad property is beautiful. Our suite was very large and comfortable. We were able to use the in-room TV to see Netflix and YouTube. The street where the riad is located is very busy. Be careful you do not get hit by a motorcycle :). Several restaurants within walking distance. Our room was on the 2nd floor of one area. The restaurant was on the third floor of a different area. So we had quite a few steps to navigate between our room and the restaurant/pool area. The hamam and massage experience onsite was excellent. Everything was perfectly clean. No noise issues. It was a good value for the money. there is a very large store across the street, the one with lions in front. It is the size of an American department store, and had a wide selection of clothing, housewares etc. The ATM across the street ate my debit card, so be careful there. Odd…I had used the same ATM three times without incident. The sitting areas near the the restaurant were very comfortable and relaxing.

Nice riad, poor breakfast, decent value for money

The riad Almisk is located quite nicely around 10 minutes walking distance from the main market/ piazza. Safe, lively street it’s in.
The rooms are nice and clean and kept in decent shape!
All in all it is good value for money! Staff are fairly engaged and helpful.
Biggest disappointment: breakfast. Genuinely ruining the riad.
Had better breakfast at every other riad in Marocco even cheaper ones.
Paid for two coffees as only the American one was included - worst coffee I had so next days just bought it on the street. Had to pay for water at breakfast.
Staff at breakfast fairly inattentive and most food is cooked in the morning and then kept warm until you come (e.g. pancakes were rock hard which they brought).
In my view it cannot be that difficult to bring out a decent breakfast in a place like this. If you want to be as good of a riad as they present themselves it has to be better. We didn’t eat there at the end or just went for the bread to have sth in the stomach before leaving.
Anyhow: all in all it’s a 4 but definitely nothing special. For the price, can’t expect much more but definitely to get the basics right!

Great night sleep

We stayed at Riad Almisk just one night before our flight out and it was relaxing and quiet. Beautiful decor, comfortable bed with a nice bathroom area. Plenty of space in the living area. The bathroom was small but had a large open shower. My wife appreciated the available blow dryer. We slept so good that we missed the breakfast. We enjoyed our one night and would love to stay here again.

Bad communicators and inflexible

I had reserved this hotel for buy first night in Morocco and my last night. I broke my foot and sprained my ankle, so I had to cancel my trip. I notified them 3 days past the date I could get a full refund. I asked if they could offer me a credit so that I could not lose the money and I'd come back next year. They did NOT reply! I know they get emails. bc/ I had emailed them before about something else. IGNORING my request is simply rude and not acceptable to me! It would have been so nice of them to be flexible and kind to someone who is injured badly and cannot travel!

I have so much to say about this Riad - and all positive!
The location: perfect. Walking distance to everything but far away enough for calm and quiet. Has much more of a neighborhood feel with great restaurants and small shops (plus one very large fixed-price store) right outside the doors.
The rooms were gorgeous, clean, and very comfortable.
Breakfast each day was wonderful. A choice of drink and a choice of egg style each morning, plus a changing variety of baked goods, homemade yogurt, a small cup of fruit, and bread each morning. It was a nice mix of consistency and change. I loved the homemade yogurt. The various baked goods were great as I got to enjoy a variety of Moroccan foods during our stay that I wouldn't have otherwise tried (some I wish I could have gotten recipes to make at home)!
Front desk staff were always very friendly and helpful. I wish I got everyone's names before I left! Special shout-outs to the woman working the front desk during the day; she gave wonderful insight into the area and easy directions. Also to Aissan (I might have gotten that spelling wrong) who answered questions provided assistance. The man who served breakfast was always smiling, friendly, and made us feel very valued and welcome. The two women who did our Hammam experience made us feel comfortable and relaxed. And, of course, the women we never saw who made the breakfasts (SO good!) and kept our rooms clean - thank you!
Lastly, the Riad architecture and beauty are stunning!
