An oasis in the bustle of the Marrakesh medina

We stayed at the Riad Bamileke during our family trip to Marrakech (my husband, our son and I) and loved it. Ahmed, the host, was lovely: very friendly and always willing to help.
Breakfast was hearty and very rich, with fresh produce and served in a lovely courtyard that makes you feel in a small oasis inside the medina. The room was impeccably clean, spacious, beautiful and tastefully decorated. The beds were comfortable, the air conditioning worked well (important in summer in Marrakesh) and the perfect wifi.
The location is also ideal: you are in the center of the medina, but in a quiet street, so you can rest without the noise of the bustle. The staff was always very attentive and kept our bags on the last day so we could take advantage until the last minute.
We recommend this place totally and will definitely repeat if we return to Marrakech.

Beautiful and quiet. Lots of lovely details to make a memorable stay.

Beautiful and quiet spot in the center of old Marrakech. Our room was lovely and the host was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious with an amazing fresh smoothie, egg, pastries and freshly made local breads. We got takeaway pizza from down the street one night and ate it on the roof while we enjoyed the view.

Excellent stay

The owners are super attentive, they solved everything for us in no time. The breakfasts are very good, the rooms are large and very clean. It makes your stay super comfortable and safe. In addition, it is very close to the main square, and although it is in an alley, it is illuminated at night, which is very important. I would recommend it without a doubt.

Amazing stay in June 2022

I had a wondertul night in the Dogon Suite. Beautiful courtyard, decorations, everything really. Luxurious quality bed. It was so serene having breakfast on the 2nd floor amongst the lush banana tree jungle. It was really quiet and peaceful because it’s located down a small side street, but only 5 minutes walk from the market square.
Wi-fi was fast and strong. Staff extremely accomodating, I requested an earlier breakfast and late checkout due to having online work and it was no worries at all for them. I look forward to returning next time I visit Marrakech.

Dogon Suite

We stayed in the dogon suite for two nights and were very happy with the comfy beds and tasty breakfast. The location is great and it was surprisingly quiet for being so close to the souks. My only complaint would be that it was really quite cold and I spent a lot of time hovering over the space heater as it didn’t heat more than an inch outward. The overhead heating/cooling element did not have a remote and looked to be inoperational for quite some time. If I’m wrong, I apologize to management. But this did appear to be the case.
The roof was beautiful and I enjoyed my time up there, the center courtyard was also perfectly relaxing with happy little birds jumping around. Additionally, the bath tub in the dogon suite was really nice and while there isn’t enough hot water to fill up the whole thing, it is possible to have a lukewarm soak which would be nice if it were hotter out. All in all it was a pretty nice stay. Also, dinner was wonderful.
