We had a great weekend with family, the Riad is very well placed in a quiet little alley. The taxi dropped us off 200 m from the Riad, the perfect and even too hearty restoration. The roof top superbly equipped.

Very bad experience
The meeting room at the patio level has no light, the existing window cannot be opened because no glass just wrought iron bars. Being on the ground floor if you do not put the wooden shutter everyone sees in your room and can pass the hand out the window. So you have to live in the dark with the noise of the patio as if people were in your room. The bathrobe at our disposal was dirty, the bathroom mirror had been removed so no mirror to prepare, the central socket came out of the wall so not very secure.
Given the condition of the room and to save our stay, we could not stay the 3 nights paid and had to find and pay 2 nights elsewhere.
We have not received any refunds from the hotel.

Tired and not what it says on the tin.
Although it has its rustic charm, it is dirty and dingy. On Booking.com it is advertised as having a swimming pool, spa and bar facility: it has none of these. We had no running cold water in the sink in our room and the safe didn’t work. The staff are friendly and attentive.

Fabulous atmospheric Riad!
Spent a week at this Riad and was made to feel welcome straight away Hakim and Bouchra were fantastic hosts we stayed in the Chocolate suite which was quirky tired in some places due to age but loved it! Gorgeous shampoo shower cream and body lotion and fresh towels most days . We ate in for 4 nights as the food was delicious! Hakim kept us topped up with plenty of red wine so we were more than happy breakfast was delicious and plentiful there were sunbeds to use with towels and sun hats and an amazing small chilled pool on the ground floor. Good location right inside Babdoukka gate ten min walk to the big square

Unfortunately, avoid if you only speak English and like to sleep at night. This could be so much better.
This would have been a 4 star review if we had been able to sleep more than a few hours at a time.
It’s a quaint traditional Riad which is just what we had hoped for. Hot water for the shower is, as expected, temperamental as is all the plumbing and wiring in our room (Chocolate) which was fine with a comfortable bed, albeit the room wasn’t made up every day for some reason.
Restful Sleep however is something we will have to catch up on when we get home. There is an AC unit or fan on the roof which seems ok most of the day but between 11 pm and the early morning hours it starts to shake and shudder intermittently and loudly. Under our window in the alley a group of teenagers meet every evening with their motorbikes making a racket (see picture) till around midnight, sometimes later. This coupled with the noisy AC unit makes it impossible to sleep more than a few continuous hours each night. The Riad owner just said that they are his neighbours when I mentioned it as if that makes it ok. (he obviously doesn’t care that we couldn’t sleep), he seemed very friendly until we mentioned it and then the attitude changed to like it or lump it so you have been warned.
We decided to have a quiet afternoon on the sun terrace to catch up with our sleep one afternoon only to find they had started refurbishing work on the roof being carried out which they refused to stop, hammering sawing etc, so still no sleep
Nobody in the riad speaks any English, the welcome book is all in French which is of no use at all. If we had known we would have come more prepared. They “appeared” friendly but trying to find out if we can eat there, if we can use the very small ground floor pool, what other services do they offer and what is there local to do and see remains a mystery ♂️ thank goodness for trip advisor
