Hospitality, sympathy and good service!
Although the riad is located in a degraded area of the city (which disappointed us), we were welcomed with all the hospitality by the owner Aouad and his family. The house and the room were simple, clean, with AC, but without some basic things for Europeans, such as shower gel, hand gel and toilet paper). Aouad is an excellent cook, the meals were all homemade and delicious! The walking path from Riad to Jamma El Fna Square is confusing, a maze of streets and alleys with garbage, works, bikes, bicycles and kids asking for money. Riad needs some remodeling, because the photos do not correspond to the current reality. We recommend this riad because the price/quality ratio is reasonable.

Do not stay here!
Do not stay here. We booked through wowcher mystery holiday deal. No wonder it's a mystery people would not choose to stay here otherwise. The "hotel" itself (if you could call it that I'd more describe it as a dungeon!) Was in a very unsafe area. We couldn't find it and a local said he would help then when we got there was intimidating and demanded money. We then got into the hotel and was shown to our room which locked with a padlock and didn't even have a window. The room was dark, dingy, smelly, horrible beds and bedding and was not clean. There were no amenities in the hotel and our shower wouldn't even stay up on the wall we had to hold it to wash ourselves. There was no soap or shower gel. We couldn't get any wifi it didn't work. We heard the manager constantly arguing with staff and even got woke up early one morning with them arguing. The manager also asked a young boy to help us find a place we had to meet a tour guide and this young boy also then demanded money. As soon as we arrived we wanted to go home the whole experience was traumatising.

Peor....imposible
Place not suitable for people.
The area where he is terrorizes, it is scary to walk even by day, by night impossible to travel, if you value your life in anything.
You come to the room and you don't know where to look. Everything is dirt, stains with hearth, dirty walls, peeling, you have never seen a hand of paint, towels are like rough kitchen rags with lampoons.
We go to the bathroom and everything with wet and dirty stains
In short, wherever you look, everything is dirt, bad smell.... a place not suitable for people
I can’t count anymore because I saw everything, I left in search of other accommodation.
Worse... it's impossible. I don't recommend it to anyone.

From immediate closure.
As soon as we arrived it was really shocking and destabilizing as it presents itself from outside the riad.
Once inside, we are greeted by a gentleman, I think the owner, seeing that we were Italian immediately introduced his son saying that he lived in Italy, after a while returns the gentleman saying that we had to pay the tourist taxes (320 dirhams), then tells us that for that day our reservation did not exist, and assures us that he makes us settle in another riad and the 'morrow would come to recover to stay with him. We are accompanied by a child, who makes us labyrinthine roads, and once at the destination asked us for a 40€ tip.
The guy at the new riad told us that nerja always does this.
We never went back there.
Avoid that riad if you don't want to be cheated.
