Delicious!

I came here for the first time to stay in Rabat but what a nice Riad! We were here for 2 days (3 nights) but our experience was so good that we booked an extra day. It is located in Medina so is very central and next to a very nice castle. The Riad has a nice pool that is ideal for cooling off with very nice sun beds (and not crowded). The rooms have everything amenities and if we needed something it was so arranged! Second evening we also decided to eat at the hotel for 3 course menu for 310 dirhams!! and it was sincerely so tasty. Everything was full of flavor and we enjoyed it immensely. If you are going to Rabat I definitely recommend you to stay here!

A beautiful riad in the medina of Rabat

I really enjoyed the stay! You were greeted with mint tea and cookies. We had a very nice suite with orange scent (at least on arrival, later unfortunately it smelled slightly of drain, you should therefore allow the bathroom door). Breakfast was homemade and very tasty. Also the pool area was very relaxed. Location in the medina perfect you had nowhere far to go. Conversely, you shouldn’t take much luggage with you either, as you have to walk through the medina to get to the riad. We also booked a massage that took place at Riad Dar Dar a few meters away - very relaxing! Sometimes the staff was a bit slow, but everything worked.

UNCOMFORTABLE BECAUSE OF THE MANAGER ON SITE!!!

I agree with the last review posted! My husband and I stayed just one night in this Riad which is very pretty but that's where it ends! No welcome for us, just one sentence: your room will be ready at 3 p.m. period! Okay no problem, then the pool was also green.., but the worst part is the attitude of the manager who must have a problem I think because he is obnoxious and rude towards the Riad employees.,, he talks to them like slaves… at breakfast he went too far by treating the waiter like less than nothing by making comments to him about his skin color etc…. You should know that my husband is African and he was boiling over to tell him to calm down but I preferred to put an end to breakfast which was supposed to be a great moment of relaxation and well it lasted 5 minutes we choked on our food…. At first I hesitated to post a comment so as not to penalize the employees who let it happen because they surely need work but when I saw the previous review I did it! So sir if you are sick do not stay at the Riad because we the customers do not have to endure your behavior!!! Poor employee honestly!!!!! Disappointed to have chosen this Riad…..

Bad experience

The Riad is truly magnificent, the rooms are spacious and the bedding is comfortable, however there are no curtains on the windows overlooking the restaurant, which is annoying for the light and the soundproofing of the room. The Riad is very well located in the Medina for sightseeing, we had a very warm welcome with tea and cookies, despite our early arrival, everything was done so that we could have our room quickly. The person who welcomed us explained the visits to do, the restaurants well and gave us a map of Rabat.
Apart from that, nothing was really right, it is honestly the worst Riad we have stayed in (about 10 during our stays in Morocco). The evening dinner was not up to par. 2 of the appetizers were no longer available, 3 of the main courses neither, beer neither... so we fall back on what is left. My daughter's fish with shrimp was so overcooked that it was hard and inedible, it was normally served with a sauce that we never got... we pointed out that my daughter didn't eat anything... but it doesn't seem to bother them to leave a child with an empty stomach... not even a small commercial gesture or something else to compensate. The breakfast is rather simple. Impossible to swim in the pool which was green. We think that the owner of the riad was there with a lady who had to put up with all his mood swings... neither of the 2 said hello, not a word for the guests. This is definitely the first time that has happened to us in a Riad. The owner walked around in his underwear in front of the guests, he used insulting words and offensive vulgarity….a little discretion please, especially in front of children. We are paying to be here and we do not have to put up with all of that. There was no interaction and not everything is done to make us feel at home as is often the case in riads. On the other hand, the transfer to the airport went very well.

A beautiful property located in the Medina but close to a main street for hailing a taxi. We were welcomed with tea and sweets at check-in and then enjoyed a lovely dinner at the riad. Breakfast included yogurt, eggs, breads with jam and butter, olives, juice and coffee. The staff was friendly, beds were comfortable (though pillows were very firm), and air conditioning was delightful! The second night there was a belly dancer during dinner which we were able to view from upstairs looking down into the courtyard. Would stay here again!
