An absolute gem in Tangier—incredible views and unmatched hospitality! 5/5 stars

We had the absolute pleasure of staying at Riad M’Barka for two nights, and we cannot recommend it highly enough! From start to finish, the service was truly incredible.
Upon arrival, we were greeted with a lovely welcome tea ceremony, which was a beautiful touch and tasted fantastic. The Riad itself is stunning and located in a really convenient place for exploring. Our room was beautifully decorated, exceptionally clean, and surprisingly spacious. One of the absolute highlights was the rooftop, which offers some of the most spectacular, beautiful views of Tangier.
The staff went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. We were given outstanding local recommendations for food (including an amazing restaurant recommendation!) and they always assisted us with whatever we needed. We especially want to mention Mehti (I hope we spelled his name correctly!), who could not have been any kinder. It was a true privilege meeting him!
While our tightly planned activities meant we didn't get a chance to sit down for breakfast, the menu looked absolutely fantastic.
We fell in love with Tangier, and when we return, we will definitely be staying at Riad M’Barka again. Thank you for an unforgettable stay!

A pleasant place to stay with a superb rooftop terrace overlooking old Tangier

The Riad M'barka is a pleasant place to stay in Tangier. It is well located near the Casba and our room was fine for a few days, although it was close to the main entrance on the ground floor and so noise of people coming and going was a bit of an issue. It is only a short walk to the restaurants and shops of the Medina, although it is uphill.
The staff are friendly and helpful but the best feature of the riad is the rooftop terrace where breakfast is served. It has a lovely view over the rooftops of the Medina and out to Tangier. Breakfast was very good and even the noisy seagulls add something to the character.
Happy to recommend this riad.

An ugly Riad and reviews lies

The publicity for this Ryad is a lie.
The bathroom is simply ugly and small with especially poor drainage
The picture is much more beautiful than the reality
An incompetent staff, the concierge even forgot the key to the Riad inside, we had to wait half an hour in another neighboring Ryad before finding our room.
Breakfast touted as fantastic was only a little without engaging , without plate!
Anyway!
We're not going back.

Great Riad at top of Kasbah.

This is a new addition to the Riads at the top of the Kasbah. Easy to find from the Bab de Kasbah.
Staff very welcoming and attentive. Accommodation is very comfortable.
Breakfast on the rooftop where there are great views of Tanger looking out to the bay.

What a wonderful stay

I loved every part of my stay at Riad M’Barka. It is located inside the old medina. It is within relatively easy walking distance of car parking ( 5 minutes away)
The door to the riad is typical of many Moroccan riads, it has a large old looking wooden door that the curious cannot to wonder what is beyond.
The inside of the riad doesn’t disappoint. It is an oasis of cool, authentic Moroccan furnishings and calm.
The staff were all delightful with me, particularly Zubir the manager.
The rooms inside the riad are beautiful.
My room was spacious and had everything I needed and a good sized bath room.
The riad has a beautiful roof terrace which affords you views of the Atlantic and also views views of the town of Tangier.
The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. I really recommend a stay here. It was great value for money, welcoming and a superb place to explore the medina and the old town and souk on foot.
There are restaurants and cafes close-by
