We have stayed 2 days in okambi rest. It was 2 wonderful days in a quiet, relaxing environment. The good beds and the delicious breakfast helped ensure that everything was top notch.

Fantastic stay!

Thank you very much for a fantastic stay.
This place is extraordinary and beyond compare. Spacious, clean, and very tranquil.
The staff is very helpful and doing a wonderful job maintaining the property.
Furthermore, we really appreciated the great location, from where one can explore the surroundings very nicely.
Bibi was a fantastic host and showed us around the area and did a great job in recommending nearby activities.
We even share the same last name, what a coincidence.
I am still fascinated by the night sky – it was magnificent with no artificial light disturbance whatsoever. We spent a lot of time just gazing into the universe, admiring the beauty and clearness of the night.
One must be aware of the surroundings and the country's wildlife – it is still Namibia after all.
The most dangerous animal at Okambishi we encountered though is Toni, a gorgeous turtle. There is also an adorable baby turtle named Cleo.
We were on our honeymoon and could not have picked a better place to explore central Namibia.
We were two nights away exploring Etosha (4 hours drive). Bibi and her team offered to store our belongings for the time being, for which we were very grateful.
Thank you once again, we will definitely be back!

Very relaxing place to stay

We stayed in the larger of the two properties, which was very nice. As the properties are very close together if one is booked they do not let out the other, unless it is all booked by a group. This makes it a very exclusive experience. The owner Brigitte is very friendly and helpful and goes some great work caring for the various animals that live there. Great place.

Comfortable rest and hospitable owner

Large comfortable suits with well equipped kitchens and a braai place, hospitable owner Brigitte, a lot of pets. There are a cheetah, a mongoose, a dog and sheep. Definitely it's worth to choose this rest if you plan to stay not far from Spitzkoppe.

Lovely bungalow and incredible experience

We stayed two nights at this lovely place and can only recommend it to everyone! Brigitte and Juergen are very nice, warmhearted and helpful hosts.
The spacious bungalow has a very nice terrace with sun lounges and a lovely garden surrounding it and it was just the perfect spot to relax and recharge after the first part of our vacation here in Namibia, and cook something proper (after many nights of camping).
There are also nice sights in close proximity, if you want to spend your days more active (Spitzkoppe, Ameib, ...)
On top of all this: Being able to join Brigitte and Juergen when they feed their cheetah Kambishi in the early evening is an incredible experience! We were even able to touch his fur when he came to us and feed him.
It's save because you can tell that Brigitte and Juergen know what they are doing and are very experienced and informed. It was impressive to see how this big wild cat aced like a normal pet, purring like crazy and cuddling with it's owners after being fed.
The cheetah is really part of their family. Their house is part of the big fenced area and you can see how much they love him and that they treat him not only good but a bit like their child.
Probably not many people dream of sharing their life with such an animal (and I clearly admit I would be perfectly happy with having a harmless rabbit), and it's impressive to see how they made their dream come true.
