Burger on the Glomfjorden hotel ❤️

The best burger you will find here, RECOMMENDED a hundred times better than Bjerkvik burger and the one from Thon hotel Narvik.

Anything but glamorous

The fabulously scenic Kystriksveien highway 17 has a strange dearth of accommodation of any kind (apart from camping) outside the larger towns and the stretch 100 or so kilometers south of Bodo is a case in point. Glomfjord is anything but a glamorous place, dominated as it is by a large hydro electric power plant which is also only a stone's throw from the Glomfjord Hotel in the middle of the little town. The hotel is correspondingly modest, rooms rather outdated and tired, not really a place to linger. But it's only a minute off route 17, there's parking right outside the front door, and breakfast is more than adequate. Dinner options are more challenging, the Ornes Hotel some 20 km north being probably the best solution.

The restaurant in Glomfjord

Not many places to eat her, so this is the place
The cafeteria inside the Hotel is OK, but that’s about it. The place is clean and service good and the menu basic.
So the place to eat in Glomfjord, not because it’s great, but the only one we could find

Business trip to Glomfjord

Old and worned out. Restaurant is quite simple and food is eatable. In the other hand there is no alternative restaurant in this village, except an pub with fast food and who serv hamburger and frozen pizza.
Breakfast okay. The Gym is the positive surprice on this hotell.

Old and only hotel, food is okay

This could really need some refreshing. The wood in the bathroom was broken and eaten by the shower water. The carpet on the floor in the room must be 100 years old. Don’t want to think about what kind of germs there were on the floor. I was itchy the whole time I stayed there. Friendly staff though but their English is not very good when you have questions about the food. Very good schnitzel though!
