Simple standard, clean, good beds, good food, incredibly good service and incredibly pleasant hostess
Good location ifht. tours in great nature
Joker shop in the neighborhood, which is also open Sunday from 12-18.
Great opportunities to sit out to eat and enjoy something cold and good in the glass

Beautiful

The hotel was simple, but the beds were still comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were also kept accordingly simple, but sufficient. The hotel is very close to the glacier, but there is nothing but a small supermarket. In the evening you could stay well in the restaurant / lounge and for example still play something. Parking is free and staff very friendly.

Excellent Accommodations

We stayed in the cottage for a couple of nights and really enjoyed our accommodations. Having the two rooms, kitchen and living room were a nice change from the hostel/hotel rooms we had experienced up to that point in our travels. Everything was clean and well appointed. All of the utensils we required were available in the kitchen. And the surrounding area was scenic, including a short walk down to a little river. I highly recommend this option if you're staying in the area.

A comfortable place to relax after a busy day

Family of 5 stayed here for 2 nights. Kids are 14,12 and 11. We found it warm and clean and the food was delicious and plentiful. A huge plate of meatballs, roast pork and potatoes was appreciated after a long day hiking. Rooms were simple but comfortable and we could hear the river. Also recommend River Pigs white water rafting which operates under the hotel.

Family base for glacier/rafting experiences

We had a 2 night stay at the Jostedal Hotel and it was exactly what we needed.
After a relatively long drive up to the area we were warmly greeted and checked in. It was busy so there was a limited food choice but the meatballs were very good - huge portion!
Breakfast had a huge selection and reasonably priced (for Norway) make your own lunch option. We headed off on a kayak/glacier walk and made use of the underfloor heating to dry our very wet gloves and hats when we got back.
Leila who runs the hotel was super helpful and knowledgeable. We would love to go back
Located right next door to Elevepurna rafting and v close to the glacier.
