Fantastic value!

Loved staying in the Budget Studio here for a long weekend. We thought it was clean, quiet, well-organised and safe! We were impressed by the neighbourhood it was in and the convenience of the Kiwi supermarket right beside it. The rooftop and the communal kitchen are pleasant and well-appointed! We also really valued the private bathroom facilities, particularly the shower pressure as that is rare in a hostel. If I could give any feedback, it would just be to provide more pillows for the beds, and a smaller bedside light. We would definitely return!

Big clean and clean rooms. A short walk to restaurants and bars.
A little bit noisy outside of the hotel until 11pm when the convenience store closes.

FOR SMALL BUDGETS

While the hotel is well located, 20 minutes from Oslo, it offers minimalist services: a somewhat basic shower, no nightstand, a narrow room (nowhere to put a suitcase), and worn-out bedding. Fortunately, the prices are relatively low for an expensive city like Oslo!

Price-performance and amenities

I am not very satisfied with the price-performance ratio, especially regarding the shared kitchen. There are only two narrow refrigerators for all guests, which are (naturally) ALWAYS full. Furthermore, there is no stove and no oven, but rather four microwaves. Work is also done only with paper towels; there are no cloth towels. The consumption of paper towels is therefore naturally very high. There is an electric kettle, an egg cooker, and cutlery with cups, glasses, shallower bowls, and plates. The counter space gets very full very quickly; no more than four people can work at the same time.
The restrooms (including soap, shampoo, showers, and hair dryers) are very clean. I also have no complaints about the dorms themselves; they are good. The locker is very large (my 55L backpack would fit inside twice), the beds are comfortable, and the curtain is a really good idea. The people are also considerate at night.
