Room was so clean, the staff so lovely, the pool area is so pretty and relaxing. The breakfast was great, and the walk down to the marina and being down there was so nice.
Definitely great value for money.
Would love to come back.

Very very tired hotel

They have not touched the building since it was built 20 years ago and the whole hotel is incredibly worn. The spa facility had “out of operation” on wardrobes, showers and both saunas. Floors are so tilted that you get tiles in your feet and tiles are the dirt. Walls need paint and generally it is an incredibly tiring hotel where it hasn’t happened much since it was built. Suite is at a very low level and can really not be called suite (missed most), but we had to upgrade to suite for ordinary twin room was so low standard. The food is wildly overpriced - we paid 300 kroner for a burger in the room that was on par with kebab jappeburger with a carbonade-like meat cake. The service at the reception is very unengaged and little service-set. Those who worked in the breakfast room, however, were very friendly. Would never stay here again with the sick prices for a hotel that has not been upgraded or washed in 20 years. I have been to every spa hotel in Norway and this is definitely the worst. You will even have to pay for the morning jacket and parking (even if it is far out in the countryside) ! And don't expect saunas to be in operation..and it's full of ants everywhere!

The access is not well suited for guests arriving by boat (this is after all a marine resort). You have to struggle with your luggage up a very steep hill, a hike which the staff said took 10 minutes. Well… 20 at least. Upon return we asked if there was a shuttle or if we could borrow a golf cart? No, sorry! Nothing of the like…

expensive food and not that great really unfortunately, not good service either in the cafe part! Had no choice because buffet is not what we want or like!
when I booked this hotel, I thought is was near Kragerø but it was a 40 minute drive into Kragerø, so we were stuck because we had driven alot before arrival and didnt want to drive more. The room was nice with balcony and breakfast was exceptional.

Disappointing stay that did not live up to expectations.

We arrived at a hotel that seemed perfectly fine at first glance, but the suite we had booked for about NOK 5500 for two days did not meet expectations. Instead of something that should feel special, we got an apartment-style solution with a surprisingly long way to go to the room through times and between buildings, which gave an impractical and little exclusive first impression. The room reminded more of a simple family room than a suite. The interior was impractical and uninviting, with a large table, a low sofa that could barely be used, poor lighting and few amenities. The view towards Kragerø was nice, but the location on the first floor made the sun quickly disappear earlier than higher up. The terrace was also sparsely furnished and not very pleasant. The journey into the hotel was about 2 miles or about 30 minutes and there is no gas station or kiwi.
The bathroom was simply equipped and there were no more details to expect on a stay in this price range, such as better selection of toiletries and easier access to towels and cleaning. The bedroom also did not live up to the pictures online, and the bed was noticeably sunk. The service did not seem smooth: both in the restaurant and in the spa we had to deal with unnecessary circumferences via the reception. The whole place gave the impression of being worn and poorly kept. When the experience in addition did not match the marketing, we sat down with the feeling that this was wasted money. We could as well book a regular hotel room.
