Matryoahka was a convenient and easy place to stay in Ica. The rooms were a decent size, and the bathrooms were new and clean. The staff were incredibly accommodating and allowed us to check in early after arriving on an overnight bus.
It's not super close to the centre, but it is on the way to Huacachina, so for us that was more of a benefit.

Simple and cheap but you shouldnt expect more from this place. In other places in Pery we have seen better for same price. Worst part was that the rooms dont have windows to outside so no fresh air when it is really hot. Rooms are small. Walls are thin so you hear everything in whole hostal. Also the doorbell rings quite loud.

3 night stay in Ica

Room was being cleaned every day with sheets and towels changed, soap and shampoo every day too. We got our laundry done for S/10. Our bedroom probably wasn't the nicest one as we were at the back on ground floor but we had our private bathroom and it was extremely clean. The potential issue is the location. If you are in Ica to see the city centre, you're in the wrong place as it is off the Panamericana highway and 20min walk from it. If you come to base yourself for Huacachina, Nazca, the wineries, the excellent Regional Museum and a decent mall right next to you, then this is your best spot.
