Property is unique, like a time capsule/living museum that's beautifully preserved, from the tiles to the wrought iron and historical photos throughout the common areas. . The view from the balcony over the Amazon is incredibly memorable. The manager, Francisco, went out of his way to ensure we had a memorable stay and helped out with booking transportation and anything else we needed. When we mentioned it was our son's birthday, he even decorated our hotel room door and had a birthday cake waiting for us when we returned from our day out! While the rooms aren't the highest level of luxury, they're spacious and clean and absolutely fit our needs. It's about a 5 minute walk to the plaza de armas

For the price, I don't know how you could do better. Nice folks.

There are fancier hotels with pools and fancy bars in town. But for the fair price and great service, I don't know how you would do better. Sra. Gomez who runs the front desk was great with communication and she sent a taxi (free) to pick me up at the airport. She also let me play with the cat at the hotel. The room has good wifi, good air conditioning, and a hot shower with good water pressure (you CANNOT drink the tap water, don't do it). Also, there is not hot water in the sink for shaving, is what it is, that's not uncommon in South America. And you will need to buy drinking water at a nearby store. But there is a fridge, which was a surprise, so if you buy beer or something, you can keep it there. There is a room safe, but I didn't know how to work it. The breakfast is upstairs, it's not fancy but it's free and fine, fruit, toast, coffee and an egg. Everyone at this hotel is nice and helpful. The location felt very safe. I would stay here again. We had a fun communal moment during a thunder storm where guests and staff stood outside and watched. It was nice. I travel a lot in South America, and I can say this is a good hotel run by nice, honest, friendly people and you will feel comfortable here.

Perfect place for Iquitos

We really felt like we were in Iquitos when we stayed here. The staff was warm and helpful despite our lack of Spanish. The room was clean and cool and quiet and the decor fits right in with the atmosphere of the area. We had decided to get there a day before the cruise and Adriana on the desk made us happy that we did. For us it was perfect. Even the breakfasts were good.
