Friendly & helpful hosts with old world charm

Villa la Punta is a lovely heritage building that has been in the family for generations. It is on the last street in La Punta, across from the naval academy and adjacent to the beaches. Complimentary tea is always available. The owner and staff are ready to help in so many ways & we found their help invaluable, really making our trip much easier & more enjoyable (we even extended our stay with them). The beaches have wonderful walkways & parks for strolling. Boat tours are offered & there are dozens of excellent restaurants in all price ranges nearby. The rooms have old world charm with high ceilings, wood floors & big windows. There is a common area where a large, delicious breakfast is served. Bed linens, towels, reading lights & other amenities come with the rooms. The hotel has excellent security (not that it is needed). But the best feature is the wonderful staff & owner whose friendliness & helpfulness make for an exclusive stay.

Great location, loved the area of La Punta. But it was way too far from the airport and the rooms were not nice.

Great location, loved La Punta. But it was way too far from the airport to be considered for an overnight between flights.
Luisa was very responsive but the information wasn't super helpful. She suggested we just take a cab from the airport, she could not arrange a driver. That was overwhelming, there were so many people trying to 'sell' cab rides we couldn't figure out who to use. Wasted an 1/2 hour trying to deal with getting a ride. Address was very difficult, no one seemed to know where the place was.
All communication was done through phones with google translate - no english spoken - which is fine, but it took longer cuz my Spanish isn't fabulous.
Beautiful old wood floors but they were super noisy. Paper thin walls - you could hear everything. Someone was up and out at 4:30 am and woke us up clomping down the hall.
Room was super cold, we shivered all night. No heater.
We needed to leave at 6:30 am and breakfast opened at 7 so we asked for something to go and were told no. Kinda odd.

not far from airport

This is a small, pleasant hotel in a quiet costal town. We were faced with either a 5 or 29 hour layover in Lima and chose the later. It was less than 20 minutes by taxi from the airport. The day decompressing made the travel much less painful.

Can definitely recommend!

Villa la Punta is a affordable and nice place to stay nearby Lima. Our room was large and clean and the area surrounding the hotel is one of the more beautiful places we saw in the Lima area.
We needed to be in Barranco early in the morning to leave via bus to Paracas, however the Uber we booked canceled on us and it is quite hard to quickly are arrange a taxi in La Punta at 5:00 in the morning. The owner, a very kind lady, was so kind to bring us to our destination so we could catch our bus. So kind!
All and all, I can definitely recommend checking out the area and staying the night in Villa la Punta.

Love this place

So here's the truth, this place has a home away from home vibe. Very kind owner Luisa would make sure you are 100% satisfied. She's very accommodating and will help you with some tips about the city, etc. I definitely recommend this place because of the comfort, calmness and location, you can walk around the neighborhoods with no problem there's always police and local security patrolling everywhere and there's good for sightseeing. Good to stay a couple nights and enjoy around callao/Lima. I also Google "la Punta district " and is ranked as the safest place in Lima district. So that's important to mention.
