Good hotel mancora style
I finished my trip through Peru arriving at this hotel, everything was very good, it is a small hotel facing the sea, I think that for the price they can offer a little more, but everything else was correct, mancora is a very quiet place but also It has many bars in the center of the city

Overpriced and dingy
I can’t believe how expensive this place was!!!!! We stayed at many much nicer places in the area for cheaper. Also the rooms look old and dingy and there is no AC which makes the room suffocating at night time and any time during the day. There were flies and bugs EVERYWERE. You couldn’t even eat the breakfast in peace. We stayed at many places in the area and none had this problem. Very disappointed at the quality of the stay compared to price. If it was priced much lower then the quality of stay would have been acceptable.

Lamento el que nuestro sitio no haya cubierto sus expectativas. Las habitaciones cuentan con telas mosquiteras protectoras contra insectos. Las áreas abiertas se fumigan regularmente. Según la época del año los insectos se hacen presentes (verano húmedo y más caluroso; estamos prácticamente en la línea ecuatorial). Ofrecemos habitaciones con aire acondicionado y otras con ventiladores. El estilo de nuestro sitio es clásico, folclórico, no minimalista moderno. Las fotos del hotel lo muestran tal cuál es; incluso, no son fotos profesionales ni retocadas que pudieran servir para interpretaciones falsas. Justamente, aprovechamos la época en que estuvimos cerrados por la pandemia para ampliar el comedor, lo que resultó en rehacerlo totalmente. De la mima manera, ejecutamos otras mejoras para optimizar las instalaciones de Puerto Palos. Estamos seguros que si tiene la oportunidad de visitarnos nuevamente, haremos lo imposible para que la estadía le resulte agradable. Por favor, en tal caso, preséntenos copia de esta respuesta, tendremos una atención especial para con Usted.

Disappointed
I did not like staying at this hostel. It is not a hotel, It is a hostel. The prices are not accurate in respect to the services. The staff is kind but unfortunately there are only two people all time, they try to do everything. There is no restaurant only a kitchen offering home-made dishes, all of them extremely expensive. Another complaint is that there are two dogs walking all around the dining room, the swimming pool area and the "lobby". I am a dog lover but these ones seem to be under some skin treatment. In my opinion, that is not healthy. Finally, they do not accept credit cards. When I go on vacation to a beach destiny, I do not like to carry too much cash.
In spite of the good location of the hostel, I would never come again. There are so many things to improve and for the price I paid, I definitively would fine something much better, there are so many offers and options in magic Mancora!

Estimado huésped, agradecemos su comentario. En nuestro restaurante se sirven entre otros, platos a base de pescados, pulpo, langosta, pollo o carne con variadas guarniciones; siempre preparados por Segundo quien nos acompaña a través de más de 20 años. Además preparamos platos especiales a pedidos del huésped. Interpretamos que lo que habían seleccionado (Tiradito de mero, filet de pescado con guarnición y milanesa de pollo con guarnición) había resultado de vuestro agrado. En general tenemos muy buenos comentarios respecto al servicio del restaurante. El valor es acorde a la calidad de los ingredientes y mayormente muy bien aceptado. Ofrecemos platos a la carta y el menú del día a un valor más económico.
Lamentamos lo de nuestra mascota Baco; interpretamos que gustaban de su presencia al acariciarlo y tomarse fotos con él. Lo tendremos muy en cuenta de acá en más.
Justamente ya estamos aceptando VISA para las reservas realizadas a partir de este mes.
Puerto Palos ofrece en todas sus habitaciones un amplio baño privado, sector de escritorio, closet/vestidor, ventilador, caja de seguridad, wi-fi, Tv satelital y porch privado con mesita , sillones y hamaca. También directamente sobre la arena, las Suites cuentan además con frigobar, aire acondicionado y muy amplio deck equipado. Las habitaciones no son compartidas. En el restaurante las mesas son individuales... son éstas algunas características que nos diferencian de un hostel.
Lamentamos realmente no haber podido cubrir vuestras expectativas.

Nice place !!
Excelent place, nice place to stay !! The only thing that can be upgraded is the airfan in the rooms. Sometimes it's to hot !! With air conditioner this place can be paradise !! Very good restaurant, in house !! Nice view. Most of the rooms don't have a front ocean view, will be a side ocean view !!

Was a nice visit
We enjoyed our stay here. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was so good. We enjoyed everything about our stay here, the only downfall would be it's not on the nicest part of the beach and I'm not sure we got what we paid for. Seemed a bit pricey all things considering but we still very much enjoyed our stay!

Puerto Palos esta ubicado en un area de playa que practicamente no tiene rocas; es por ello que un balsero artesanal entra y sale con rustica balsa ofreciendo los productos de su pesca (langosta, ostiones, pulpo...) Los ninos y adultos pueden banarse sin problemas.
Hay otras zonas (muy cercanas) cubiertas de rocas donde al bajar la marea se forman las pocitas (Balneareo las Pocitas es donde estamos ubicados) ideales para banos, son pequenas piscinas naturales! - Muy cerca tambien hay olas ideales para surf.
Hay para todo tipo de gustos.
Un cordial saludo.
