Gastrobar is simply the best on the island

No roommates. But every day they ate at the Binukot gastropub, which is part of this place. It's been a month. Having driven around the Tablas, I can safely assure you that the best cuisine is here. Plus a spilled beer.
A great place for beer and snorkelling fans. Peter respects!

DO NOT STAY HERE

Great location but the worst establishment and host you will ever visit. I paid for 7 nights but left after 3 requesting a refund for 4 unused nights and the owner just laughed at me. The place is a right dump and the owner rude and arrogant. Its held together by 100 coats of paint. Food is horrible. Nothing works especially your bathroom. Peter the owner will blame his staff that he pays 250 peso a day. Roof leaks above your bed, black mould everywhere and a non functional bathroom in a delux room. The owner sits around drinking and smoking all day with his German friends and has no idea of what hospitality is. Do yourself a favour and stay anywhere but here. Could not recommend to anyone. There are several other places either side of this resort and they are all neat tidy and reasonably priced with friendly staff. Choose one of them instead to avoid disappointment. The owner Peter challenged me to make an issue of things. Challenge accepted Peter...

A Must Place to Visit

We had an amazing time! Location was perfect for a getaway. The bar has an amazing ambiance as well at the MASSIVE draft beer! :)
they provide generous serving for your meals that you'd be satisfied as well as the delicious authentic German cuisine we had. The staffs were doing an amazing job too plus their very friendly. Makes the place great to hang out and relax.
Definitely a wonderful place to visit. You'll have to come back when you visit.

Great food, bad room experience

Friendly staff, great food, beautiful beach, great sunsets in the sea, snorkeling directly on the beach possible with many beautiful fish and corals. Sometimes a bit difficult to get into the water at low tide.
3 stars deduction for:
1. We had booked "Deluxe Double Room", then we got the so-called room "Uwe". This room is directly behind the bar and next to the kitchen. It was often loud until late into the night, the night watchman shone often with the flashlight in the window and the room was strangely equipped. For example, there was no light switch at the entrance. So you had to be careful not to trip over the bed in the dark to turn on the light. In the bathroom there were no curtains or blinds on the windows. Everyone at the pool could look in directly. There was neither a remote control nor a DVD player for the TV.
2. We were promised on arrival that we could move into one of the booked rooms from the second night on. The next day we were told that the move was not possible after all. Apparently more valuable guests arrived.
CONCLUSION: We would not anymore book this accommodation for overnight stays. There are other resorts on the same beach that are just as cheap or even cheaper and well equipped. You can still eat at the Binucot Beach Resort.

Amazing stay

Me and my boyfriend stayed in this hotel 4 days and we loved it.
The rooms were big and nice.
There was hot water in the shower but the pressure was really bad (little water came out).
WiFi was very good but only at the bar (no WiFi on the rooms).
AC was available but it wasn’t too strong (the room was too big to get cold with the AC they had).
There was free bottled water available in the bar.
They had amazing food at the bar, it wasn’t expensive and there were lots of variety’s from breakfast through lunch.
The beach was very nice (the most beautiful one in Tablas) and it’s right in front of the hotel, you can eat in some cabins they have right on top of the sand which is pretty cool.
Staff was very nice, very accommodating, they helped us with information about transport around and off the island. The owner even took us to the main road so we could get a jeepney to the port.
You can rent bikes with them but they’re the most expensive ones (PHP 600 instead of PHP 400).
Location is good because it’s right in the middle so you can go to all places and the best part is the beach the hotel is in front of (really beautiful and not too crowded).
