Modest but clean and tidy. Tremendous value for money

I was traveling through Poland and I needed a place to sleep. Being extremely tired after a very long drive, I only cared about proximity, so i searched the trusty ol' TripAdvisor.
The outside is way above its class. The building looks like an old mansion that belonged to someone important. It looks splendid at night, with all the lights on. The front gate is imposing. The splendid yard, garden, terrace made me feel sorry I was pressed time wise and could not enjoy a (rather bad) coffee outside.
the room was basic, but nothing less than you would expect in this price range.
I paid 120 zl (~30 euro) for a twin bed plus 28 zl for the breakfast (2 persons). The breakfast was of basic quality (raw ingredients were as cheap as possible) but then again, I'm rather pretentious about my food, so i may be biased. On the plus size, it looked impressive, way better then expected, and it wasn't the classic buffet served at 8 am you'd expect in this price range, but it was all set up on a table, just for me and my friend.
The reservation was made online and it was printed by the owner, waiting for me. He even asked me about what time I'd like to have breakfast served.
Overall, a good experience, and if you want to save money, it is a very good choice. Probably, the exact same experience would cost more than double in Wroclaw, the nearest important city.

Something different

We have been touring Poland for just over 1 week starting in Gdansk then along the coast at Sopot and subsequently we made our way to the city of Torun. Having visited these large urban areas we felt like something completely different and we zoomed in on the map to this Nature Reserve and lake district near Milicz, North of Wroclaw. Much to the surprise of the Lord of the Manor these 2 visitors from Ireland arrived late afternoon and stayed two days. His Ukranian assistant cooked us 2 dinners and 2 breakfasts and even though we couldn't exchange a word with her other than sign language, our messages got across. The Landlord had good German and gave us a detailed map of the area, some handbooks and a lot of useful information. Since we had a car we made good use of it criss-crossing and zigzagging between and around the lakes and we witnessed a group of 20 fishermen bringing in a big catch of mostly carp.
We also went for a couple of walks in the extensive forest area nearby which was full of autumn colours.

Ciche i spokojne miejsce. Dobra lokalizacja do zwiedzania wschodniej części Stawów Milickich.

Lokalizacja dobra, położenie niedaleko kompleksu stawów Grabownica, Stawów Gadzinowy Mały i Duży - 10 minut autem. Do stawów koło Joachimówki także 10 minut. Dworek znajduje się w parku. Z okna w pokoju nawet obserwowałem wilgę i dzięcioła zielonego.

Duże tarasy i miła restauracja też robią fajne wrażenie. Cały dom w starych obrazach. Bardzo fajna biblioteczka. Czysto.
Zaskoczyło nas miło dobre i obfite śniadanie w przyzwoitej cenie.
Ogólnie miejsce, które warto odwiedzić w świetnym rejonie.

Nie dbacie o koty

Proszę obciąć kotom sfilcowaną sierść. I czesać. Weterynarz też mógłby je zbadać. Poza tym piękne miejsce. Z ogromnym potencjałem. Śniadania monotonne, ale dobre. W pokoju duszno - okno można uchylić (pokój na ostatnim piętrze). Przydałby się remont.
