Stuff was very helpful- good beds

it is very difficult to find on your first trip, amore detail map would help. but it very close to the rail line for the airport and Metro are a 5 minute walk..Very safe neighborhood. The stuff was very helpful in giving directions and tried very hard with my attempt to get tickets to the ballet.

Overall in average

Cleanliness was just in average, not as impressive as seen from photos. The hostel was a unit in a big apartment building, to access to hostel must pass main entrance of the apartment. During we stayed, there unfortunately might have some confliction between the hostel and the central apartment's security. After several rings, the security guy refused to open to let us enter.

Great Find Hidden Away

A lovely little hostel tucked away in the north of the city.
The hostel has a great clean, light feel to it with a smart boating theme.
The room was tight but the beds were very comfy.
The communal space was welcoming and had games, tv and books.
The showers and toilets were great.

Fine hostel but not very welcoming to touristst

I stayed here for 4 nights on my solo trip of Russia and had quite high expectations based on good trip advisor reviews.
There are certainly some great qualities to this hostel - the style is modern and comfortable (matches all pics), with new and beautiful design for bedrooms, common room and kitchen. The location is very good - a few mins walk to metro station where you can take metro into main tourist areas in about 15 mins. The price is a good value.
I was disappointed by the hostel workers' attitude and friendliness. When I checked in, the lady was not very friendly and didn't provide any information about neighbourhood or city (ie. Local restaurants, maps, etc). None of the other workers over the 5 days made an effort to engage with me or provide me with sightseeing tips. This is in contrast to other hostels I've been in where workers give information on tours, local events, etc.
Secondly, I was a little concerned with the level of safety in the hostel. Firstly, there are no locks on the dorm doors so anyone from hostel can walk into your room at any point in day/night. This was particularly frustrating for me as my room (8 bed female) door opened right into kitchen where other guests where throughout day. Although there are lockers, they were completely full for entire time I was there (there were not enough - maybe about 10?) so I could not use them. Thus, I had to carry all valuables with me for whole duration of stay. If this is an issue for you, perhaps consider staying elsewhere.
So, all in all it was an average stay. Some parts of the hostel were great, other parts need work.
