Judicial suite was amazingly comfortable with good back support and spacious bedding and facilities. Be prepared for no wifi connection to upload your photos experiences. Sunrise and sunset was breathtaking. Poolside and beach next to each other was a clever 👌 complimentary idea. Breakfast was island time so was the reception service so try to embrace it.

Don't stay here..you'll regret it!

Ended up here by default. After reading reviews I was sure I didn't want to stay here but I made a stupid mistake booking the savaii lagoon resort for the wrong week and then with only a month until our holiday had to find somewhere else....surprise surprise Stevensons was the only place with availability! I was desperately hoping the reviews were not correct, but unfortunately they were mostly spot on. I don't mind not having a luxury experience, in fact our best experience on samoa were the Falealupo beach fales...just amazing! However the price charged at Stevensons suggests a very good accommodation and this was not true! in common areas there were cracked and broken steps, nails sticking out of decking, pool had green tinge around the inside, everything dilapidated, signs broken off etc. It has an abandoned look . Reception area where the restaurant closed down years ago looks like a ghost hotel...noone about. Everything deserted during the day, no atmosphere in the pool, bar area. We found out this was because everyone was eating and hanging out at the lovely resorts diwn the road, like we ended up doing! Decor on rooms is plain weird. Like being in a cave, especially in the bathroom. The shower is the most strange of all- so dark a barely see into the shower and entirely made of rocks - super uncomfortable stand on. Water comes out of a chute that looks pretty disgusting. First night no hot water- fine its hot so cold water is okay. Mentioned to the lovely house keeper when she came around to give us more towels then extra day. Turns out the gas bottle had run out so all the rooms in our row would have had no hot water. A Couple days later the shower tap came off in my hand, next there was only a dribble water coming out...all sorted but problems seemed constant, in fact the hot water ran out a further 2 times but I just couldn't be bothered to do anything about it. The rooms decor is so strange - a pretend bar or fale in the corner that has a straw roof! The walls are so thin you can hear people talking. Light coming in through gaps in the stone from next door room! It made us feel that we had to whisper to each other after about 9pm! Breakfast was very limited. No hot drinks or juice- only water. Only fruit was papaya every day. Other than that just the usual egg, toast and butter, doughnuts. Staff quite disinterested apart from the lovely housekeeper. No info about anything in the room - so remember meal times when you check in and ask any questions you have unless you want to traipse across road to the deserted Reception, ring the bell and wait 5 minutes for someone to appear and seem a bit annoyed that you've bothered them! We just enjoyed the view and the seating outside the room and kept away from the main areas. We ate offsite every day at the other lovely resorts down the road and the pizza takeaway van which was yummy! This place needs more thsn a little TLC as some reviews suggest - it's a complete lost cause. It will continue to slowly fall apart and the owners will continue to fill the rooms and rip people off because there is a lack of accommodation on beautiful Savai’i and people rightly want to come here. Do yourself a favour and stay elsewhere, whether its another resort or a fale in the area, or failing that somewhere else on the island.

Large areas of the resort are run down and abandoned. The are holes in the deck around the pool. Wifi is only available at reception and is intermittent at best. For the price you will get better amenities staying in a Beach Fale instead. That said, the staff did everything they could to help us have an enjoyable stay - but there's not much they can do when the place hasnt been maintained in more than a decade

DO not STAY here.

Please trust me when I say - do not stay here. I am sure it was good in its hey day, but it is tired, dated and just sad. We stayed for one night ONLY. Room was clean and the lobster was great but thats where it ends. Pool algae. Feral cats jumping on our dinner table. Everything broken or damaged. So sad. The only thing great aboiut this place was staff member Kisa - who was amazing. 10/10 for Kisa hospitality. If I had have had an option - I would have walked straight back out. So very disappointing for such a beautiful Island of Savaii.

Staff were lovely but timings were a little off when serving meals. The Fale was fine except the mosquito net had holes in it which meant that during the night I was bitten many times which was quite painful the following morning.
The shower only provided cold water and the rock floor was a bit hard on the feet.

Very good location
