We booked a room for two people at Hotel Viktor in Bratislava for the night of 10–11 August 2026. Unfortunately, this turned into by far the worst experience we have ever had with a hotel.
We were driving from Denmark to Bratislava and knew that we would be arriving late at night. To avoid any issues, we specifically tried to contact the hotel during the day to inform them that we would be checking in late. Both my wife and I called the hotel several times, but no one answered. We have screenshots of our call history documenting these attempts.
When we arrived at the hotel during the night, the entrance to the reception area was locked. We were exhausted after the long drive. We repeatedly pressed the button by the main entrance and called the telephone number displayed on the door for guests checking in. Again, no one answered.
Eventually, other hotel guests arrived and were able to let us into the building. Once inside, we discovered that there was no member of staff at reception. Instead, there was a sign displaying another telephone number that guests were instructed to call. We called this number repeatedly as well. Once again, there was no response.
After approximately one hour of waiting in the hotel lobby in the middle of the night, repeatedly trying to reach someone, we finally had no choice but to give up. Despite having paid for a room, we were never able to check in, never received a key or access card, and therefore never had access to the room we had booked.

Hotel Victor was a very disappointing stay. The room had multiple bugs, including near the bed and on the curtains. The
Definitely NOT recommending this Victor hotel and here are the reasons why
1 - entering in the room and the first thing that we find is the bug's running around the room not one but multiple of them next to the bed on the curtens like you can see on the pictures
2 - when we like to take a shower the water was not even hot enough to take a proper shower in the winter time when out side is -4 degree we did tell the reception but she didn't care enough and her answer it was the water heater it too far from your room and to many people are taking shower the same time and like we see in the hotel was bearly even half full so a bit mission impossible but anyway and she even say that she is nit an expert in this industry and that she can't do nothing about but bicause we have another room book as well and she told us to take a shower in the other room... what's the point if you paying for room if you need to take a shower in other people's room so very very bad service.
3 - the radiotors in the room wasn't working so you can't use them if you want to heat up your room or dry something if you want to wash and we get the same answer from the reception that's nothing can be done so again we pay in this hotel just to get bugs no hot water and no heating and reception can't do nothing about it so not recommend this hotel at all it looks nice but if you have all this things not working it's pointless to leave a good recommendation here so this is my experience whit my friends staying for New Year here

If you like a hotel where the lady at reception has a real problem with her attitude, you will like this hotel.

AC did not work, barely circulated the air in the room, certainly didn't cool it!
Restaurant/breakfast out of order.
Shower cubicle broken/difficult to shut then shut in! Shower head wouldnt stay on the wall.

BAD!!!!!
They leave you out if you are a minute late, plus they DO NOT REFUND, despite having accepted my check in from 23 to 00, ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMENDED! I'VE NEVER SEEN A HOTEL THAT LEAVES CUSTOMERS OUT!!!
