Ugly brooch to a great stay

All very well, great animation, all the staff very attentive and helpful. The only thing you need when you leave is a little more order and judgment from the reception staff. The person who attended us should have enforced the hotel rules to all those who left and they did not. Too bad to put such an ugly brooch on our stay.

Not the best

Hotel was ok! It was a struggle to order a drink as non of the staff spoke word of English. 1 out of 4 bars were closed. The spa and salon wasn't open. Nothing around the vicinity to do.
On our 4th day the bathroom ceiling blew out. Causing medical flare ups. Our daughter could have been in the shower when it happened! The staff there rushed towards the Spanish locals. The people from abroad didn't get a look in!
Not something I expected

Don’t waste your time on this place.

Not the best hotel if you’re British. Seems as if they don’t like us being there. I understand we are in Spain, and luckily I know simple Spanish and can understand when spoken to, however my kids are 8 and 11 and do not know how to speak Spanish! When we go on holiday we go to make friends and join in with the entertainment and activities. We could not do this on this holiday as everything was in Spanish and the people who worked there did not know how to speak English to the kids. Which meant the could not join in with anything.
All the menus and signage around the hotel were also only in Spanish. We were maybe 1 of 4 English families at the resort so for jet2 to have this open to us is crazy.
The pool was clean but did need updating, broken tiles in places and my daughter cut her foot open on one- and on that subject we asked for a plaster even in Spanish and they basically said no and that there’s a hospital 20 mins away. We only wanted a plaster. They should have a first aid kit around the pool anyway!
The food was diabolical- flies all over it, the selection was the same every day - two themed night but again very basic and the same things. There’s one bar but with two places to order from, so the whole of the report were lining up for ages to get a drink. The day snacks were also not pleasant and just left out In a food tray all day, basically burgers and cheese and ham sandwiches. They shut the slide from 1:30-5pm so the kids can’t enjoy it during these hours either. It’s states in on the beach, but it’s actually across the road and you need your key card to get in and out the hotel, so not really “on the beach” as described.
Overall we made it for what it was, but my kids were bored not being able to do any of the kids entertainment. Which is a shame. We won’t be returning. And I would not go if you don’t speak Spanish.

Lacks investment.

It is a 4-star hotel with very complete facilities (outdoor pools with slides, squash court, gym, indoor pool, and a long etc.) a sign of an important hotel, but 40 years ago… everything is quite neglected, torn pieces of carpet, uncared-for lawn, escalators turned off… it gives the feeling of being a hotel that doesn't invest anything in its infrastructure. The general decor and that of the rooms transports you to the past. The buffet is not bad, without any pretensions either. Some meals, very improvable. Others are acceptable. The hotel's entertainment is very, very, very good, without a doubt the plus point. They have a kids club with a great touch, which is giving the children a snack even if you are not on an all-inclusive plan. It is a shame that the hotel is so neglected. The hotel is on the beachfront. With a very pleasant boardwalk and the port area 10 minutes away on foot.

No Frills

As a British family- if you're sociable and looking to stay mostly on site/join in and use the facilities, I wouldn't recommend this site.
The resort is heavily Spanish, which isn't a problem per se. But, no one speaks English and as a result, children cannot happily join in with the games/entertainment. In fact, a number of times our 6 year old daughter was actively ignored by staff once stating she was English. No one tried to include her even once and as a result she didn't stand a chance of a diploma/certificate at any point and that really hurts a child!
As adults we could use google translate to order drinks/make requests on a small/low level basis but for the actual entertainment etc it wasn't possible. The shows mon-weds were juvenile games all in Spanish and boring. The bars were stated as being open until 01:00 but were closed at 11.30. The staff had significant varying friendliness
There were positives- the room was cleaned well every day. The shower was quite powerful but literally soaked the whole bathroom. Food wasn't too bad but was very hard for a vegetarian at times.
Pools were quite good but not the cleanest. Nothing much to do locally without a big journey
Generally speaking this is a budget hotel for Spanish locals. We didn't have a bad time but definitely wouldn't return

Very good location
