If in Comillas, Cantabria, the place to have a real good cocido montañes

My previous experience with cocido montañes was really bad but they demonstrated how it should be made. A feast did I have there! On a rainy day it was really nurturing. Service warm and swift. Very reasonable prices.

Food in Comillas

We ordered meatballs, Galician octopus and Pote loin. The food was very normal. The amount was fine. We didn’t like that the drink was already poured and you don’t know if it’s from bottles or tap.

An unexpected discovery

A discovery.
We had no reservation, and walking we saw the terrace. Great food, hearty rations and very friendly staff.
If you're looking for a place to eat that isn't crowded, look no further.

Hotel friendly

Very Good Welcoming. Hotel a little old, but decent, breakfast 6€ minimum. The rooms are large well soundproofed on the outside but a little less inside. The restaurant has good family cuisine at reasonable prices.

Warm, welcoming and excellent bedroom and bathroom

We are here on the Camino and have been really pleasantly surprised. The photos I think are dated as we had a huge room with a wonderfully comfortable large double bed. The linen is great, we have a great bathroom with bath and the host very kind and welcoming. First time on the Camino del Norte where we have been offered to have our laundry done at a reasonable cost and offered a help yourself to a basic breakfast which would be set up overnight rather than wait for opening time. Cosy pub and we can eat here too after 2000. Suits us and happy to give this establishment our support.
