Very helpful staff and nice clean property. Conveniently located with easy walk to old town.
Restaurant on site also good. Only think is no coffee in the room is a miss.

I've stayed in a few Mercure hotels over the years, the quality can vary to say the least, but this is an excellent hotel, fairly centrally located and very nicely decorated. Rooms are spacious and very clean, minimalist in a very good way and clearly very well mantained. The patio area downstairs is very pleasant (especially when there aren't big groups of people being loud, which can happen sometimes). The food in the main bar is excellent; we did not try the restaurant but heard it was very good. Staff were friendly and kindly changed my room for one with better views. The bed was exceptionally comfortable.

Spectacular

A wonderful hotel in every aspect. Spacious, modern, clean rooms, and most importantly, very good soundproofing. You don't hear absolutely anything, it's a pleasure to rest like this. The staff is also very friendly.

A 4-star hotel that disappointed me

I can say that it is a hotel that markets itself very well, but for having 4 stars, it left a lot to be desired. The room was spectacular and with every luxury detail, I have no complaints. The reception was the same, the staff was super friendly. Where I didn't like it anymore is that they sell an urban garden that, besides being neglected, had nothing, and where the tunnel of lights that is so pretty in the photos isn't even turned on. The bar staff was quite unpleasant, I don't even know the name of the vermouth they had, and the first Martini I ordered wasn't even a Martini when they brought it to me (which already came served). At breakfast, they didn't come out to restock, and several of us had to chase down a waiter or reception staff... little cold cuts, little staff, the juices not restocked and without signs, people touching everything and sticking their noses into the juices to know what they were by smelling them... if there had been staff in the dining room, maybe it wouldn't have happened... to enter for breakfast, when we got tired of waiting, we went to notify the guy at reception to be able to access it; other people just went ahead and walked in.

EXCELLENT HOTEL

Excellent hotel, very nice and clean rooms.
Very friendly and pleasant staff; without a doubt, if I return to Lugo, I would repeat.
