This stay completely changed my perception of Madrid and proved that location truly changes everything.

My stay at Gran Vía Experience ended up being one of the biggest surprises of my trip to Spain.
After a less-than-ideal experience elsewhere in Madrid, this property completely changed my perception of the city. It reinforced something I learned years ago as a Realtor in Los Angeles: location changes everything—sometimes block by block.
I stayed in one of the smaller single rooms, and while compact, it was exceptionally clean, comfortable, bright, and thoughtfully designed. The bed was larger than the typical twin bed I expected, the workspace was perfect for my laptop, and having a sink directly in the room turned out to be incredibly convenient.
I was initially hesitant about sharing a bathroom, but I ended up preferring the arrangement. The bathrooms were consistently clean and well-maintained, while the in-room sink made everyday routines easy and efficient.
One feature I particularly appreciated was the common area. Guests have access to a refrigerator with designated space for each room, along with coffee, tea, a microwave, dishes, and utensils. This made quick trips to nearby markets such as Mercadona practical and budget-friendly. It was nice being able to bring food back and enjoy a simple meal without needing a full kitchen.
During my stay, I also had the opportunity to see some of the other rooms while housekeeping was working. Travelers should know that there are larger room options available, including rooms that would comfortably accommodate couples.
The location is outstanding. Restaurants, cafés, markets, pharmacies, shopping, and many of Madrid's most famous attractions are all within walking distance. Despite being in such a central area, I found the property remarkably quiet and comfortable.
Perhaps the most impressive aspect was the value. My entire stay was approximately $262 USD—significantly less than another Madrid accommodation I booked earlier in the trip that cost nearly $455 USD. Yet I found Gran Vía Experience to be cleaner, more comfortable, better organized, and located in a far more enjoyable part of the city.
If you are looking for luxury accommodations, this may not be your place. If you are looking for an exceptionally clean, practical, comfortable, and affordable stay in the heart of Madrid, I would absolutely recommend Gran Vía Experience and would happily stay here again.

I lost my money booking here. There are no staff to welcome you if you arrive early. It does not say so in the conditions of the establishment. My flight arrives at dawn and 24 hours before I am told to find another place to “wait” for the staff. They're insane. Worst of all, they tell you nothing. Book 3 months in advance. Be careful because if you arrive before 12

excellent
Super central, very comfortable, good mattress and pillow, very clean, smelled very good, everything perfect. Having the taps in the room was very convenient. There was only one shower to share, but the rest was great. Very friendly, and attentive. The indications for access are great. We will repeat!
