Not recommended
We spent two weeks with ten people in this vacation home. First, the positive: The location is truly excellent and the house itself has a lot of potential. The room layout is well-designed, the rooms are large, bright, and offer enough space for a larger group.
Unfortunately, however, the actual condition of the house does not match the impression the photos convey. The outdoor area in particular is disappointing. The dining area is far too small and very cramped for ten people. There are too few lounge chairs by the pool, so it is hardly possible to spend time there together with a larger group. Furthermore, some of the patio furniture shown in the pictures is missing. Sun protection is practically non-existent, and the existing lounge chairs, tables, and chairs are heavily worn and partially dirty.
The rooftop terrace also failed to meet our expectations. The hot tub was dirty, rusted, and showed clear signs of wear and tear. The floor was covered with dust, rust, and stains, and the pallet furniture was anything but comfortable due to the wood splinters.
Inside the house itself, this impression unfortunately continues. The sofa is saggy, the faux leather covers on the dining chairs are already peeling off, and the children's beds and mattresses were heavily worn and squeaked with every movement. In addition, the drains in the sinks barely worked, and the water regularly backed up.
The kitchen equipment is also completely inadequate for a house for ten people. There were far too few dishes, pieces of cutlery, and glasses. At times, we had to eat soup out of mugs because there were not enough soup bowls available. Due to the shortage of cutlery, the dishwasher had to run after almost every meal.
We found the state of cleanliness and the lack of maintenance particularly disappointing. After a strong storm, the pool was full of leaves, sand, and dirt. Instead of cleaning it, they merely asked if everything was okay. Support or a solution were not offered. Also, during our two-week stay, practically no cleaning supplies were available. As a result, it was hardly possible to keep the sinks, mirrors, or toilets clean. The toilet seats were also loose, dirty, and showed clear signs of limescale and urine scale deposits.
Overall, we had the impression that the house has unfortunately not been sufficiently cared for and maintained in recent years. That is especially a shame, because the location, size, and floor plan are truly excellent. With a comprehensive renovation, better equipment, and significantly more attention to cleanliness and maintenance, this vacation home could once again be a real hidden gem. In its current state, however, we would unfortunately not book it again.
