At the desk we were assigned a room with no A/C. We asked to be changed to another room and she was able to do that after after pulling a few strings! Comfortable beds and bathroom.

Comfortable stay despite the busy road

Despite being on a busy road we didn’t find the traffic too bad. The bed was comfortable and the room clean. The roof top area was lovely apart from the neighbours doing a bit of a burn off. Staff were helpful and the breakfast good

Out of the way

If your doing the El Camino this hotel is 2KM off the trail. You have to walk down a busy highway on the shoulder to get there. The hotel itself is comfortable but small. They have good washer/dryer for 5 euro each. The staff is a bit chaotic.

Nice stay - but not convenient

We spent our third evening on Camino Portuguese at Hotel San Luis. The hotel is north of Arcade and for pilgrims not just added distance for your day, but along the busy highway N-550. Arcade has a number of excellent restaurants so we opted to walk back into town, an inconvenience but worth it. The hotel itself is fine, a little worn, but the rooms was spacious enough to spread out. Our room was on the side of the building and not facing the highway, so little noise. Breakfast was included and it was adequate and convenient. Our connection back to the Camino was a bit confusing but it did not add distance. The front desk offered a map to help orient pilgrims on the journey.
